Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Shortly after she was born, we obtained pet insurance for Willo from Healthy Paws. It was one of the wisest decisions we ever made. In the beginning of March, 2022, Willo would not eat, had diarrhea and threw up. As her skin began to yellow we rushed her to her veterinarian where an MRI showed she needed emergency surgery. Willo’s gall bladder had to be removed and she is now on the road to recovery. We are thankful we made this decision for Willo. You will not know how valuable pet insurance is until such an emergency occurs. As Willo’s pet parent we are thankful to Healthy Paws and the veterinary care she has received.

When I adopted my sweet rescue pup at the beginning of Covid, I had no idea how complex her health would be. Our Sugar-Bear is an American Akita. Last summer he tore his ACL and dislocated his knee cap so he required surgery. His recovery was a bit rough and all I wanted to do was ensure that he was comfortable and give him all the love and cuddles he wanted. I was able focus on my Beary because having Healthy Paws in our corner helped ease my worries about covering all the expenses. Three weeks ago he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma…an aggressive form of bone cancer. Bear once again required surgery and this time it was to amputate his back hind limb. As you can imagine it was a tough decision but he is doing excellent! We removed the source of him pain and he is recovering wonderfully. We are grateful to Healthy Paws for being there when we needed them. Great customer service and best of all... peace of mind.
