We have been with Healthy Paws for…

We have been with Healthy Paws for close to 8 years, it was maybe a little more expensive than some of the other options but we are more than satisfied with the service we have received. Filing a claim is so easy and response time has never been more than a day or two. The annual deductible is very reasonable compared to others and I really appreciate the option of 90% reimbursement level. I haven't ever had to consider a compromise when thinking about Benny's (our dog) healthcare and for that I am very grateful. Especially as he has some pretty significant surgery recently!

Peace of Mind from Healthy Paws!

We really appreciate the financial peace of mind that Healthy Paws provided during a traumatic health event. Our sweet golden retriever, Ozzie (age 1), recently suffered from a perforated ulcer and, as a result, a septic abdomen. The bill for a major surgery + 9 day hospital stay was quite high (more than $20k!). That we didn't have to worry about the hospital bill -- and could instead just focus on Ozzie's continued recovery/progress -- was quite a blessing. Ozzie's Healthy Paws policy covers 80% of expenses, with no maximum payout, and Healthy Paws reimbursed us for the claim within days. Thank you, Healthy Paws!! We have recommended you to all of our (many) friends with pets, and will continue to do so. P.S. Ozzie is doing great and back to his usual golden retriever antics with his big brother, Rafa! Whew!

Great Pet Insurance, Get it!!

My experience with Healthy Paws has been excellent. Unfortunately, we have needed to use the policy a couple times and HP has always came through for us! Our girl suffered from IVDD and with a successful operation and HP coverage it made all the difference to what could have been a much different ending! It is such a relief to know that it is there if and when you need to get the best care for your furbabies. Talk about a huge relief! They are timely, courteous, and always had a great experience with covering our babies. Thank you Healthy Paws!

Easy to open a claim and quick response on reimbursement on claims

I have been consistently very pleased with this insurance!!! Easy to submit claims and very prompt in responding to explanation of benefits for all claims…. Reimbursed very quickly 🐾❤️🐾

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
