Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I really like that I can provide my pet exceptional medical care without having to worry about the cost. Claims are processed quickly, customer service is polite and caring, and I've never had a claim denied (that fit the claim parameters). My deductible is low, and the company does a great job communicating any changes or updates to policies. I'll be sticking with them!

We were enrolled with them for almost 2 years. Our cat one day started to cough pretty badly, so we brought him to the hospital. Luckily it was nothing, he was just dehydrated, and recovered very fast. So we submit all the documents to claim the payment back from "Healthy Paws". After a back and forth of many phone calls where they asked for any possible document our cat ever produced in his entire life, they declined to pay any moment. The reason: when you enroll a pat that is 6+ years old with them you need to have a veterinary test that is 30 days prior to the enrollment date. Our was 6 days too early, so basically we were paying for almost 2 years a lot of money to the company but we didn't have ANY coverage. Basically what these people do is that they check you only when you claim something, and they look for ANY small detail to avoid paying you. you could pay for YEARS a service that you don't even have. And of course, they have no intention to refund you the fact that you pay for a service you didn't have. Crazy. Healthy Paws is literally just a scam, and I wish I had the money and the time to sue and bring them in court, cause I'm pretty sure this should be illegal. If you google this company, you'll see they already lost a class action about something unrelated, I won't be surprised if another class action starts soon for people who are having the same problem. Thank God we had the money to pay out of pocket for our cat.

I highly recommend Healthy Paws. They are very helpful and claims are dealt with very quickly. Once I submit a claim, it is processed the same day and I usually receive my refund within a week. They're absolutely fantastic.

I've been a customer of Healthy Paws since I adopted Roxie in 2020 and they've been nothing but wonderful to use! The process of filing claims is very easy (you can use an app or their website). I've had to use her coverage for everything from allergy shots to surgery and I've never ran into any issues. Everyone I've spoken to at Healthy Paws is been very polite and helpful. When she recently had surgery they reached out to see how she was doing which was very touching. If you're looking for pet insurance I recommend giving Healthy Paws a look!

My dachshund has had bladder stone surgery 2X. In both cases, Healthy Paws paid for most of the costs promptly. I’m so glad I got this insurance when my dog was a pup.
