Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have had Healthy Paws insurance for several years to cover the health needs of our dog, Ollie. Although he was pretty healthy for the first five years, he has developed an eye condition that requires regular treatment. Throughout this process, we have found the Healthy Paws website and claims submission process extremely efficient, transparent, and user-friendly. They respond very quickly to claims submissions, and send reimbursements in a very timely manner. Importantly, they have never haggled over coverage and every single time have reimbursed us for all allowable costs under the policy. We are incredibly grateful for Healthy Paws, which has helped us to care for Ollie in the best way possible.

Submitting claims has been easy, I receive fast responses from the claims team and expected reimbursement in a timely manner without having to jump through hoops. It is such a relief to work with a provider that honors their commitments. I have and will continue to recommend them to other pet parents.

One of my cat broke his leg, and we brought him to do the fracture surgery, and we got like probably 80% reimbursement back later 2 and half weeks I believed, Absolutely awesome company, great service, and best value.

The initial claim has been an absolutely miserable experience. They continue to mark the claim as "action needed". The vet's office says "we sent them" and they bcc'ed me on the email. Call into HealthyPaws and they say "ah darn, don't use records@healthypaws, use claims instead (ignore what it says on our website). Then they say oh we got them, they just weren't attached to the claim. They later send out the exact same template "action needed, we need your pets complete medical record", which is exactly what was sent before. Call them back. Ah..shucks the records weren't attached to the claim so sorry. Just a BS run around doing nothing nothing but shifting status back to action "required from you" and sending out the same template which tells me absolutely nothing about what they think is missing but isn't. We're now on the 3rd cycle of this nonsense. Stay away from this company at all costs, they very clearly want to play as many games as possible to see if you'll just go away before they pay out. Complete garbage.
