Don't fall for the warm and fuzzy advertising.

Healthy Paws is happy to insure your dog as long as they are young with minimal risk. They up the premium so much that you are basically forced to cancel it when they reach their senior years. This way they profit off you and then dump you when there is too much of a risk. I just went thru this with them. I have over the years recommended HP to many and now will never do so again after these tactics. Cancel and put that money away in a separate account. How many people can afford 400 to 500 dollars a month? Research it before considering HP. They will screw you over.

Highly Recommend - Fast Reimbursement and Easy Process

Get the insurance!!!! When she got sick a few weeks ago we took her to an emergency vet clinic - our bill walking away from there was $1,149. We immediately had to take her to the vet specialist - our deposit was $10,045 😳😳 because they expected the total bill to be $13-$15K. The bill after surgery ended up being less than this at around $6,500 total. So in the end we walked away from both visits with a total of $7,700 in bills! I can say that without pet insurance this decision of having the surgery would not have been an easy one and more than likely at her age we would have skipped it, which would have risked her life and we could have lost her. Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was immediately on top of our claims and we have already received our reimbursement checks where they covered 80% of the bills. Yes that means we still paid about $1500 out of pocket but that was a no brainer and allowed us to go through with everything necessary and hopefully earn a few more years with Delilah!

Healthy Paws is great!

After researching many pet insurance companies, I found Healthy Paws to be the best choice for me. I couldn't be happier with them to be honest. My puppy recently ate what was suspected to be a piece of glass. I took her to be examined by our local vet where an x-ray revealed what I suspected. Our local vet could not handle the surgery that was needed so another animal hospital was involved. I submitted claims to Healthy Paws and was very pleased that they responded quickly in spite of it being a weekend. Within a few days, they had processed the claims and said they were covering what my policy stated. I was very relieved, of course. They have since been in touch to see how my puppy is recuperating. How could you ask for anything more? If you want great customer care and a good insurance policy for your fur baby, look no further. Healthy Paws is great!
