Healthy Paws is AWESOME!

My dog (labrador) recently injested a foreign object without us knowing. He became very ill one night and when we took hin to the vet it was determined he would need surgery. The item was already passed his abdomen and in his intestine which is a more serious surgery. My family and I had already undergone 2 previous surgeries w our dog but they were both events we had witnessed him eating somthing we felt he couldnt pass or throw up, so his surgery was in the belly and less critical. I say this because I wasnt even sure Healthy Paws would insure my dog because of his previous "accidents." The monthly cost is very reasonable as we compared many others. The claim form couldnt be any easier to fill out. We were fully reimbursed and the claim was reviewed in less than 10 days! I think this company is awesome!

Healthy Paws took care of our dog, Chloe

We are so happy with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. Our dog (a 5 year old yellow lab) Chloe tore her ACL, and Healthy Paws was so attentive and timely in helping us file our claim. We had no problem whatsoever getting our claim processed and received a check within days of the claim submittal. Thank you Healthy Paws for doing such a great job and helping us like you did!

Everyone should have this insurance!

I have to admit that I was very skeptical of pet insurance in the first place. I am one of those people that believes in saving for a rainy day and there is no need to pay an insurance company a monthly premium for something that should be budgeted for in the rainy day fund. I have never been a fan of any insurance company in general, whether it be car, home, health, etc. Nevertheless, I have a Labrador Retriever who is very prone to getting into everything and thought I would try it out and see what I thought for a year and then cancel it if it seemed a waste. Earlier this month, my lab got a case of chronic vomiting with blood in the vomit. I freaked out and we had to have x-rays to make sure he hadn't eaten anything and then a barium swallow test. Both expensive procedures. After no definitive results and continued vomiting, we were referred to a specialist for ultrasound and endoscopy. All of these procedures together totaled around $2,600.00. Healthy Paws was amazing to deal with. I had a reimbursement check in days and the staff even emailed me to check on Jackson. We are still waiting on the biopsy results to verify that it is not cancer but I will NEVER cancel this policy. I have the $250.00 deductible with 90% reimbursement-For my 5 year old lab, the premium is around $40.00 per month. BUT, this policy INCLUDES congenital hip/back/elbow conditions that labs are prone to after a 1 year waiting period. I could not find a single other policy out there th

Fast and efficient

My dog was vomiting all day and not eating which is unheard of. The vet did x rays , bloodwork, and gave her medication and fluids. I submitted the claim and got a response within hours. Everything was covered less the office visit and deductible. The check arrived in a few days. After that I got a follow up email checking on my dog. If I could I would switch my whole family to Healthy Paws!

Amazing Customer Service!

Shortly after rescuing Barry I did research on pet insurance. I found Healthy Paws to have the most flexible, comprehensive plan for the cost. (Even less expensive than the plan available through my employment with a discount!) Unfortunately we had to use the insurance when Barry received a bite wound from another dog. I submitted his paperwork, immediately recieve an email telling what additional paperwork was needed. The same day I submitted the additional paperwork (just a copy of his medical records) I received an email that my claim was processed and details of what the reimbursement would be. The amount was what I expected - yay no surprises! and the check arrived within a week. And to top off the already great experience I received a 'personalized' email inquiring as to Barry's recovery! I can't say enough in this day of lack of customer service about a complany that goes above and beyond! Thank you Healthy Paws for caring (almost :) as much about my baby boy as I do!
