Thank You Healthy Paws.

I recently lost one of my pugs due to an extended illness and incurred staggering amount of vet bills. I told myself never again and wanted to get insurance on my younger pug, who is 6 years old. So I had him go get his annual office visit and he came out with flying colors. When we got him home from the vet, I went online and enrolled him. It was great peace of mind knowing that he had a clean bill of health and I had taken him for a visit per the requirements of this insurance. Incredibly, a lowly 18 days later, my pug had a bladder stone that obstructed his ureter and I had to rush him to the hospital where he had emergency surgery. Per the agreement, Healthy Paws paid its portion of my $4500 vet bill promptly once I provided them my pugs complete medical history. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. Thanks Healthy Paws. You made my Christmas!

Thank the Stars for Healthypaws Insurance!!!!!

I would recommend Healthypaws insurance to everyone. If it were not for them, I could have never provided spinal disc surgery for my 3 year old cavatsu Lilac. We would have had to put her down because w/o the surgery she had no chance for recovery from paralysis of her hind legs. My brother is switching to Healthypaws after 1 of his 5 cats had Cancer and it cost 30,000.00 and his insurance covered only 5,000.00 which was his cap for each illness.I looked @ various insurances and boy am I glad I chose this one. I never thought I would receive my claim reimbursement within 2 weeks of filing. The staff were so helpful, informative and empathetic!!!!!!

Giving insurance companies a good name!

I cannot express how impressed I am with the service provided by Healthy Paws.My sweet kitty, Pepper, broke her hind left leg (tibial fracture. We don't exactly know how (she is indoor only). We've had to make over 5 trips to the vet in less than 3 weeks. She also had to be taken to the emergency vet twice during this time. Although not all of my claims have been sent to Healthy Paws yet, I did receive a check today from them for the first few visits. The experience was surprisingly hassle-free. Since this was our first claim ever, we needed to submit all of Pepper's vet records to them. Once they had everything we needed, our claim was processed within a day, and I received the check in another two! I spoke to one of their customer service reps a couple times, and she was always helpful. I also received an email asking me how Pepper was doing. The entire experience left me feeling like they really cared, much unlike the 'evil insurance company' image I had in mind. :)

Excellent benefits with quick claim reimbursement

My 3 year old dog Scooby had a black growth on her gums on her lower jaw which was covering up 3 of her teeth. I took her to my vet who told me that the growth looked like a condition called Epilus which has three types. 2 are benign and 1 is precancerous which usually invades and degenerates the jaw bone. Our first course of action was to surgically remove the growth, send it in for pathology and take an X-ray of her jaw. This procedure cost us 986.68. We submitted our claim to Healthy Paws the same day as the surgery and immediately got an e-mail requesting the records from our veterinarian. it took them a few days to get Healthy paws the records but once they received them they processed our claim within a few days and sent out a check reimbursing us the following day paying 90% of her surgery. We have a $100 a year deductible which was applied to this claim so we received a check for $712.03. Unfortunately our story does not end there. The x-rays and pathology came back that Scooby did have the pre cancerous Epilus so we were referred to a specialist for yet another surgery. This time they had to do a CT scan on Scooby and remove 3 of her teeth and a section of her jaw bone to stop the spreading of the disease and the degeneration of her bone. She spent one night in the hospital and came home with pain meds, antibiotics and anti inflammatories. This surgery and all the medications cost $4,354.90. The veterinary specialist submitted all the paperwork to Healthy paws along
