Excellent and Empathetic Service

They are very empathetic on the phone and they pay very quickly - not a lot of drama or technicalities. You do still have to pay for exams, which can add up, but generally it is very good coverage, especially in the case of a disaster. Unfortunately, my dog got into an accident with a car and suffered a head injury. She had also had Giardia a couple of times and an eye infection. So I wound up submitting nine claims within six months, due to the fecal samples, eye problem, meds and then the emergency care for the car accident. The dog had terrible luck with her health, but thank God I had Healthy Paws. Healthy Paws was also tremendously empathetic and sent me a letter with their remorses after the car accident, because I had, very sadly, yet humanely, decided to put her down since she couldn't move her front legs. As difficult as it all was, at least I had Healthy Paws to back me up, and I will definitely go with them again.

Great pet insurance company

My dog Rain, a Great Dane mix, just underwent her second major knee surgery in six months. Healthy Paws was wonderful to work with, again. I received prompt reimbursement (the check arrived 3 days after I sent the invoice) and there were no surprises or problems. This is a great pet insurance company and I would recommend them to anyone thinking about pet insurance. By the way my monthly payment has barely increased in the approx. 2 years she has been covered by them.Terri

Excellent

I switched from another pet insurance company about 3 yrs ago and have since gotten another dog. When I got my second dog as a puppy she had many issues and had 2 major surgeries. Healthy Paws was there for me though it all. I have recommended them to everyone I come in contact with regarding animals. By far the #1 pet insurance company out there! I'm so glad I found them.

Fast, easy, and took the worry out

The online system makes submitting a claim very easy. Healthy Paws was very quick to service the claim and we received reimbursement in about a week. The last thing you want to worry about when your pet is recovering is having trouble with the claim and Healthy Paws removed any of that concern. No hidden loopholes or outs for the company. Would highly recommend.

Thank God for Healthy Paws!

This was my first experience with pet insurance and after research I got Healthy Paws for my ~18 month old rescue dog at the suggestion of our groomer. She said that young pit mixes as active as our Ted could run the risk of an ACL. So in my mind I did the math and was like hey, the premiums for about 10 years may cover an ACL but lord only knows if I would have the $$ at the time of any injury. Well, who would ever image a dog, now 3ish, would have a brain cyst. He started having balance issues, and after our vet ruled out inner ear infection it was off to the neurologist for an exam, then an MRI and finally, thanks to heathly paws, we decided to try the brain surgery. Ted is re-cooperating well and health paws processed all the claims we submitted in less than 48 hours from when we submitted them. Note: this event cost was about $12,000 and healthy paws paid almost $9,500. I'll never have any other pet, dog or cat, without healthy paws. P.S. the people are super nice too. They ask how Ted is doing when you call and they even send follow up emails P.S.S if you need a specialist in the Philadelphia area we used CARES in Langhorne and they were excellent
