Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Our 5 year old lab mix just underwent her second ACL surgery in just over a year. Both times Healthy Paws were nothing but amazing. In the recent operation, we scanned and uploaded the surgery bill to the website, and received a check in about 4 days. Truly outstanding.

I am so happy we chose Healthy Paws for our pet insurance of our little Dog Dudley. He is more than a dog to us he is part of our family. For this reason after adopting him the first thing we did was get Healthy Paws insurance. Since the start of 2014 Dudley ate something and got sick so we had to take him into our vet. I was impressed Healthy Paws processed our claim and we got a check in a week. Just recently Dudley had a problem with his Patella. It kept coming out and was very painful for the little guy. At one point it came out 4 times in a day and was taking longer to go back in. Talking with our Vet he mentioned that he could do the surgery. I really wanted a specialist and he refereed us to a Orthopedic surgeon who specializes in repairing Luxating Patella. I was a little concerned about the cost and if Healthy Paws would allow us to have a specialist do the surgery instead of our local vet. I called them up and they said we can go to the specialist and that we not need any referral. That really made me feel good to know we were in control of our dogs health care. I wish my health care insurance was a good as my dogs... It has been almost three weeks since Dudley had the surgery and he is doing well and on his way to recovery. We are so happy with Healthy Paws. I submitted the claim on Monday and had the refund check in the mail Saturday. If you are looking for Pet Insurance choose Healthy Paws you won't be disappointed. Healthy Paws has really been a blessing for us with our little guy, Jake. Submitting claims couldn't have been easier and everyone we corresponded with was very friendly and compassionate - you can tell they truly care about their customers. Jake is 100% recovered from his bladder surgery and it's such an amazing feeling knowing that you can take care of you pets without having to mortgage your future! The reimbursement came much sooner than I anticipated and our first experience with Healthy Paws was nothing short of amazing!

We were out of town during Memorial Day weekend when Gizmo ate a piece of diet gum containing xylitol. This required an overnight stay in an emergency pet hospital, extensive tests and treatments and follow-up work once we returned home. Healthy Paws walked us through the paperwork, stayed in constant communication in regards to the information they needed and answered every question we had. Not only that, they inquired as to Gizmo's well-being many times during the process. Payment was faster than we'd expected. We are extremely pleased with our experience.

After having dogs previously that had put us into credit card debt that took us years to get out of we decided to jump in and try pet insurance when we adopted our next dog. We have no regrets since deciding this and have even signed up our second dog. Each time we file a claim the speed at which it is resolved is incredible and every person we have dealt with has been the utmost professional.
