No arguments, they deliver on what they promise.

Last February one of my dogs presented very alarming symptoms and was diagnosed with cancer. A month later she was dead and I still had medical bills to pay while dealing with the loss of one of my companions. I also had a healthy 7 year old Japanese Chin, but decided I wanted the piece of mind that comes with an insurance policy. It was difficult finding the right policy for a senior dog, and some companies wouldn't even offer a quote. I will start by saying Healthy Paws was NOT the cheapest quote, but that they answered all of my questions. When I called to speak with a real person, I was on hold for under 3 minutes each time. I scheduled the yearly vet visit for my dog in March 2013 and sent the findings and notes of that visit to H.P. and enrolled my dog with $250 ded/90% coinsurance. In August, my dog started coughing aggressively and I took her to the vet. She was prescribed antibiotics, cough suppressants and I was told she had a collapsing trachea (common in older snout-free dogs). I sent the bill and notes to Healthy Paws to go towards the deductible. I was already aware that the office visit is not included, and my responsibility to pay as the owner. I received an email stating they needed my dog's medical notes going back to when I adopted her at 8 weeks old. A series of calls and emails to the various offices she had seen in her life took around 30 minutes of my time, and then I sent all my documents to H.P. The next day my claim was processed and

Amazing!

We insured our French Bulldog immediately after we got him as puppy after hearing horror stories from friends and co-workers about their pet's injuries and illnesses. I knew I had to make sure that I would not have to make a decision about my dog based on finances. Starting in September 2013 our Frenchie started showing signs of pain after jumping down from our bed in the middle of the night. We thought it was an injury and got him to the vet the following morning. Then about a month and a half later after we thought we were out of the woods, our dog went from a "drunk" walk to losing use of his hind legs within about an hour. We rushed him to the vet and they examined him and determined that he was showing signs of neurological injury. The next morning we took him to the pet hospital we were referred to in order to have imaging and surgery performed. When I called Healthy Paws to talk about paying the bill (somewhere around $4,000) they said that they could arrange for a direct payment to the pet hospital. The pet hospital didn't understand and didn't try to make it happen so we just paid for it and submitted the claim as usual. Luckily we had a credit card we could use until we got reimbursed. Shae at Healthy Paws called me to check on our dog and to ask if there was anything she could do for us. Of course I cried because she was so kind and I was undergoing one of the worst nightmares of my life. Knowing that we had paid the bill at the pet hospital she explain

Service and Care Well Beyond Expectation

Healthy Paws has provided us with the most incredible service and coverage I could ever imagine, and at premiums which were comparable and in most cases less than any other company we investigated. We had our 18-month old pup for only 10 months before he passed away after being diagnosed with an extremely serious case of inflammatory bowel disease. Because we didn't purchase our insurance until after he showed initial symptoms, his gastro-disease was considered pre-existing. Still - Healthy Paws did everything possible to closely review our claims and reimburse us for every eligible expense, which added up to many thousands of dollars in only a few months. When our boy died, they sent us a beautiful sympathy card. While I don't have a basis for comparison, I can't imagine any insurance company being this good. I can honestly say that for the rest of my life, I will buy Healthy Paws Insurance the first day I adopt any pet in the future. An incredible company with truly caring staff.

INCREDIBLE - So grateful for Healthy Paws!

(I'm writing my review about my experience in general, not just one claim) Healthy Paws is the best money I have ever spent on my pup. The peace of mind is priceless, but I'm even more grateful for it when I have (unfortunately!) had to use it! The staff at Healthy Paws has been readily available to answer any and all of my questions, followed up with me consistently, and made sure my claims were processed quickly. I love that they've gotten in touch with me as a follow up "just to see" how my dog is doing. I can't compare Healthy Paws to any other pet insurance because I've never had pet insurance with another company before...and I don't ever intend to! :-)

Incredibly Impressed

My husband and I adopted a beautiful little poodle/? mix shelter dog last January. He was a year old. We decided to buy pet insurance because we have friends who expended huge sums of money for medical treatments for their uninsured dog. We hoped we would never need the insurance. In October we discovered that his liver was failing. The cause is unknown, but our vet suspects that he ingested something toxic. After multiple visits to our vet and an emergency pet hospital, our little dog died. We are devastated. The bills came to over $3000. Healthy Paws immediately reimbursed us almost $2200. What impressed us the most however, is the fact that ten people on the Healthy Paws staff wrote personal notes on a sympathy card. I could not have imagined better or more sympathetic help.
