LOVE Them

Hello, I currently have 6 dogs and 1 cat insured with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I switched from another well-known pet insurance company to Healthy Paws, and I'm so glad I did. Healthy Paws has processed all my claims easily and very quickly, and I've submitted a lot of claims because I have so many. Often my claims for an existing condition are processed in only 1 day or less. Of course newer conditions can take slightly longer, as they have to look over the medical records, but even then it's usually processed within 7-10 days. And when I call them, all of their people are very customer friendly. Additionally, they will even periodically send me an email to check on one of my dogs if they've developed a chronic condition. Many people I meet don't have pet insurance because they've heard bad stories about the other companies, as many of them have strict guidelines and limits on coverage. Through my research, I found out that Healthy Paws has NO yearly or per incident limit on coverage, so I can have peace of mind. And compared to the last company I used, Healthy Paws is significantly cheaper and has never given me a hassle over processing my claims. We'd have no savings by now if it wasn't for having this pet insurance. The very reasonable monthly fee is more than worth it if your dog/cat develops cancer or seizures and needs an MRI or chemo....this has happened multiple times to me over the past few years. You don't want to sacrifice your companion's hea

Gold Standard

Healthy Paws is the best insurance (not just pet insurance) company I have ever worked with. Every time I take my dog to the vet, they pay exactly what they said they would pay, and they do it quickly. But that is not why they are the best. Any time Luna has an issue, they write an email and ask how she's doing. They genuinely (and I cannot stress that enough) care about her well being and take pride in being able to help. The peace of mind that it brings when something goes wrong is priceless. I know that I not only can I afford her care, but I won't have to wait long for reimbursement. But having a pet insurance where they really care about my dog and all animals, and that my money is going to help other pets in need means that I will never look anywhere else for pet insurance. Ever.

Best pet insurance I have had!!!!

Let me start off by saying I have tried multiple pet insurance companies in the past and Healthy Paws is the best so far. Before I even signed my dog up I spoke with a representative at Healthy Paws to discuss what's covered and whats not, I was surprised that they pretty much cover everything except the actual Dr. visit charge or their annual shots which was ok with me. They also have no limit of coverage per incident per year which is very hard to come by, usually it's $5K or $10K per year at other pet insurance companies. This was my second claim which is faster then your first claim because on your first claim they ask for your pets medical records and they review them and then process your claim but even that took only about 8 or 9 days. I had taken my dog to the vet for an emergency visit which was about $1K and they did follow up testing which involved ultrasounds and scoping which was about another $4K it didn't take but about 3-5 days for them to process the claim and mail out a check which covered about $4,300 of the $5,000 it cost me up front. After the claim was finished they even send out a warm email asking how he was feeling and to give him a hug from them. There customer service is excellent and they are a 5 star pet insurance in my book. I have not had the best of luck with my dogs in the past and I have spent a fortune on them because of other insurance companies always trying to give you the run around not like Healthy Paws.

Healthy Paws was a life saver

Our 16 month old lab was diagnosed with Leptospirosis, a disease which attacks the kidneys. She was hospitalized for a week and a half and had treatments which included dialysis. Had we not had Healthy Paws insurance, we would have been faced with losing our Lily due to the expense for treatment. She's home now and is on the road to recovery. Before purchasing Healthy Paws, I researched all pet insurance companies and determined that they were the best. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. There were no surprises : they covered everything they said they would and the claims were processed in a very timely manner. We can't thank them enough for their honesty and support. I'm telling every pet owner I know about how wonderful Healthy Paws is !

Solid Insurance Plan

My experiences with Healthy Paws has been exceptionally good. I would agree with many of the positive posters that most of the negative comments seem to be from people that did not read or understand the terms of the policy. Recently my boxer tore her CCL and required surgery to insert a metal plate and screws. Healthy Paws processed the claim quickly (the check arrived prior to the credit card bill) and even helped obtain her medical records from a different vet. Per the policy the vet examinations were not covered but I purchased the policy to cover the big ticket items, so 90% of the surgery and therapy visits are covered (after the deductible). I am very happy with the service I have received and I believe their explanations of the benefits have been spot on.
