Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I had researched several pet insurance companies before going with Healthy Paws when we adopted two kittens 6 years ago. Their rates were the most reasonable for the coverage we were looking for and reviews were fantastic. We now have 4 cats and I added coverage for the two new cats. Last week, one of my cats decided to eat several nerf darts and one got lodged in his small intestines. The claim process was painless and super easy. I got the invoice from the vet, took a picture, and submitted it online via their website. Exactly 9 days later, I got the email that it was processed and approved. I also received a call from a very nice rep asking about how my cat is doing. She was very personable and the call felt very genuine. Just a very pleasant process and I'm so pleased it went without any pain and coverage was exactly what I expected. Thanks Healthy Paws!

We knew we needed pet insurance after spending nearly $10,000 on surgeries for our previous dog and could not be happier with Healthy Paws. They are straightforward with their coverage; no fine print or confusing lingo. You file a claim by simply taking a picture of your invoice with your phone and clicking "submit." Reimbursement comes quickly and customer service is remarkable. You can't go wrong with this company.

My poor puppy was throwing up over and over again! I rushed him to the vet and the vet did a lot of test and xrays. I submitted my invoice and information to Healthy Paws and the process was easy. This was my first claim so I was nervous if they would pay. I was like I hope I was not paying each month for nothing. I got an email detailing my reimbursement within a week. I said wow that is fast! Then a check a couple days later. I also received an email from a CS rep at Healthy Paws asking if my dog was okay and it was actually a personal response. Not some automated rubbish! I was shocked and pleasantly surprised! I have to say 100% satisfied with my experience and will recommend.

I have been using Healthy Paws for my 7 year old English Bulldog Harley since he was 6 months old. As you may be aware, English Bulldogs can have many health issues. Harley has been diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertible disc disease), some hip displaysia and arthritis, and recently tore his ACL on his right back knee and had to have surgery. For every instance, Healthy Paws has been there for Harley and for us! They are amazing. Unlimited lifetime coverage and deductibles that you can change to align with your ability to pay are the factors that made me choose this pet insurance company. The claims are super easy to file and the payment comes quickly. If you need to speak with them, the agents are knowledgeable and so willing to assist. Not only that, they will follow up to see how your pet is doing. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

When my husband and I decided to get pet insurance for our then puppy Stanley back in October 2014 we had no idea how grateful we would be to Healthy Paws today. We knew when we got it we would only need to use it in case of an emergency or for the occasional time he got sick. In February 2017 our "emergency" happened. Stanley had to go in for TPLO (ACL) surgery. He was only three years old and my husband and I were devastated that he had hurt himself playing. Having Healthy Paws made a stressful situation less stressful. I did not have to worry about a large surgery, rehabilitation, and perscription bill because we had opted into a plan that would cover 90% of the costs. By the end of his recovery in April we estimated that we spent only around $700, if we did not have pet insurance it would have been closer to $5500. THEN emergency number two happened. Stanley tore his OTHER ACL in July 2017. Only 5 months after his first surgery. One of the best things around healthy paws is that they did not consider his first tear as a "pre-exisiting" condition like other pet insurance companies do. We feel so fortunate that yet again we have healthy paws as a pet insurance company. Other reasons we like Healthy Paws includes there easy to use app to process claims and their friendly staff who always reach out to check on Stanley's recovery. :)
