Getting pet insurance through Healthy Paws was the best thing we could have done for our dog.

I am writing this review to say how happy we are that we have Healthy Paws pet insurance! You never know (or even think) you are going to need it until something does happen and you are faced with a decision on whether or not you can afford to give your pet the medical attention it needs. Our sweet dog Marley at 2 years old tore her CCL on her right leg. We were heartbroken! Not only that but we never thought that something like this would happen to a young and healthy dog! We immediately called Healthy Paws customer service to confirm we were covered should we decide to get Marley TPLO surgery and after Healthy Paws reviewed our file they assured us that it was. It made our decision to give Marley the medical treatment she needed very easy. After Marley's surgery we submitted the claim via their app (by taking a picture of the bill), it was approved in about 2 weeks (we were told the initial claim takes longer than subsequent claims because they need to review the file) and then we were issued a refund (less our deductible $250 and in the policy percentage amount we purchased which was 90%). They do not cover vet visits but we knew that going in. We also received an email from Tim at Healthy Paws Client Services to see how Marley was doing after her surgery. Around the time Marley was completely done recovering from surgery on her right leg we noticed that she was limping on the left leg. We were warned by the vet that there could be a chance she can tear her CCL in the other leg and that is exactly what she did. Again we called Healthy Paws to confirm we were covered. Honestly we were in shock that we would be going through this again but could rest assure that with the insurance we could give Marley the surgery she needed. If we did not have Healthy Paws Insurance Marley's quality of life would be very different. I can't stress enough how easy it was dealing with Healthy Paws during a time when we needed to focus on Marley's recovery. We have shared Marley's story with many of our friends and family and highly recommend getting pet insurance through Healthy Paws. We will continue to recommend Healthy Paws as a must have for a pet owner, it was the best thing we could have done for Marley.

Successful lung surgery made possible by Healthy Paws.

My three-and-a-half-year-old French Bulldog, Beasley, became very ill very suddenly. He was extremely congested and was coughing up a tiny amount of blood. I was terrified, and immediately brought him to the local emergency clinic. At first, Beasley was diagnosed and treated in the hospital for Pneumonia. After little improvement after a few days, the hospital conducted further testing and X-rays, later diagnosing Beasley with a Lung Lobe Torsion. He needed to have immediate surgery (on Christmas Eve, no less!) in order to remove one of his lobes. During this horrible time, I was blessed to not have to think twice about moving forward with the surgery, as I knew Healthy Paws would have me covered with my 90% reimbursement policy. What could have been almost $15,000 out of pocket cost me only about $2,000. Beasley is now a month out from surgery and flourishing! I am so grateful to the staff at Healthy Paws who made this surgery possible for me, and literally saved Beasley's life!

Quite literally a life saver

I signed my kitten up for Healthy Paws insurance when I got her in September. Flash forward a couple months to January and she was diagnosed with a polyp in one ear and fluid in both ears. This led to swelling in her throat that was obstructing her breathing. Several visits to multiple vets, a ct scan and a surgery racked up thousands of dollars in bills. Healthy Paws paid out 90% on it, just as promised. I'm so thankful and relieved to know that my family can provide necessary medical coverage for our sweet girl without having to worry about financial strain.

We felt so good with Healthy Paws claim coverage and customer service that we added our other cat!

All of a sudden, our cat Kanobi fell sick. We had to take him to the hospital and he had to stay there for two nights. Healthy Paws covered the claims as per the coverage and provided excellent customer service. We are very happy with their professionalism and customer care. They even sent a very caring email asking how Kanobi was doing. Since then we have added our other cat! I highly recommend Healthy Paws!!
