Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy paws insurance company is truly as great as advertised. They are honest, hassle free and good to their word. My dog recently had a major knee surgery due to an injury and simultaneously suffered an eye injury. We took our dog for the medical procedures and treatments and afterwards, it was so easy to submit the medical paperwork via the claim online, I initially thought, surely there has to be more to it than that, it can't be this easy. Within a few days, I received an email that my claim was being processed, then within 10 days, I received a check for the appropriate level of reimbursement. Healthy paws insurance was the smartest decision I ever made because they were so easy to work with and it took away the stresses of the financial burdens allowing us to concentrate on taking care of our beloved 4 legged child. Additionally, an insurance customer service rep, personally reached out to us to check on the welfare of our dog. This meant to the world to us and we really appreciated that they actually took the time to check on us assuring us that they will do everything they can to support us. Healthy Paws is truly a class organization. My wife and I even joked that our dogs have much superior medical coverage than even what we have. Thank you Healthy Paws! Please don't change a thing!

Not only does Healthy Paws process my claims quickly; after one of my "kid's" recent surgery, they also followed up to see how he was doing; that's going the extra mile! Every member of Healthy Paws that I contact is very courteous and knowledgeable. I have an 11 year old poodle and had Healthy Paws pet insurance for the last 4 years. Prior to having this insurance, when my little Bella was very young she ended up breaking her leg due to an accident which I had to pay money out of pocket for. A year later, she ended up breaking the leg again due to inadequate healing. I spent probably over $4,000-5,000 for that whole ordeal. Ever since Bella was young I did have pet insurance for her such as ASPCA and Gopetplan. However, when she broke her leg there was a lapse in coverage. I just remember how much of a pain it was to process claims when I had to deal with those insurance companies. I looked into Healthy Paws and decided to enroll her just to be on the safe side. 4 years later, she developed diabetes and a sudden onset of cataracts which ultimately led to her going 100% blind. I contacted Healthy Paws right away and Caren W. walked me through the whole process for submitting a claim. Since I had Healthy Paws for 4 years, all I needed to submit were medical records of her condition prior to the claim. Her records did not show any signs of diabetes therefore Healthy Paws was able to cover her treatment at 90%. There are other tiers for her coverage but I chose the $100 deductible and reimbursement of 90%. Submitting claims are so easy! For each claim, all I submit is the invoice and proof that I paid. That is it! Healthy Paws never asks for any written records from her Vet or any other documentation. So far, Healthy Paws covers everything related to Bella's diabetes such as Vet visits, blood glucose curves, insulin, all the materials involved in managing Bella's diabetes. They even covered Bella's cataract surgery which costed over $4,000. Healthy Paws is amazing and the staff are all so warm and caring! I just only wish I signed up with Healthy Paws sooner! It is incredibly easy to submit claims and they literally process the claims within a day. It is amazing. Such a wonderful company! I believe that having pets is a huge responsibility. They are extensions of our family and it is up to us to care for them when they are in need. This includes when they get hurt or sick. It truly saddens me when people often resort to putting their animals down due to financial issues. Having medical insurance is extremely important for animals and humans alike. Paying monthly for health insurance may seem like an added expense but ultimately, it can mean life or death for our beloved animal friends. Please give Healthy Paws a chance, they are not about taking our money, they are about helping us and our pets.

It really shows when a company does business because they truly care and that's what Healthy Paws, proved to me. I've been with them for 5 years . My dog Romeo was always pretty healthy even though we found out he has epilepsy a few years ago . Recently though we found he had a cyst that needed to be taken care of ASAP and a couple more procedures that demanded surgery . The total was more then I could afford to advance since I'm not currently working. When I called them to see what could be done, I was told to put them in contact with my vet to get the total of the procedure . Within a few days the surgery was approved, I didn't have to do anything more then that one phone call . Now my dog is recuperating, the vet was paid immediately and I only had to pay 10% of the total which was a great relief . In the past they also paid claims that were over a year old too (for his seizure medication). I can say I feel great to face the future with a pet insurance that cares . Mind you , the insurance emailed me a few days later to see how Romeo was doing which was heartwarming . Wish our human insurance were as smooth, compassionate, efficient and well priced as they are . I highly recommend them ... I cannot say enough good words ..

Rebel has been insured by Healthy Paws since he was 5 years old. He had some neck and back issues last year and they covered chiropractic appointments for him! Recently, I found a lump in his mouth. It turned out to be cancer. Melanoma. He’s had 3 surgeries and is currently under the continuing care of Cornell Oncology. Thanks to Healthy Paws I can focus on making the best medical decisions for Rebel without having to ask “how much is that?” They have been wonderful throughout this entire ordeal. Submitting claims is super easy, they keep in touch with you while the claim is being processed, the claims are processed quickly and once approved reimbursement comes quickly by check in the mail.
