Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I am so happy to have gotten my dogs insurace through Healthy Paws. My wonderful lab is only 2 1/2, and unfortunately, she developed a serious ear infection that her regular vet could not cure. She had to be seen by a specialist, and had to be sedated for proper treatment. Just the antibiotics alone she had to be given were $600.00. When I called Healthy Paws to see if they would approve them, they assured me everything was covered and that she would never be dropped. Customer service is wonderful to deal with, they even reached out to me to see how she was doing. You always hope your pet won’t need the insurance, but things happen, and I am so grateful for Healthy Paws. They certainly proved themselves to me! Needless to say, I highly recommend them!

Amazing customer service and super simple claim process (just snap a picture!). They’ve covered surgeries for both our dogs AND all the medicine needed for pain management on-going. HIGHLY recommend.

Having had animals for years I fully appreciate the need of having pet insurance. Thus, in 2013, after adopting a couple of kittens I started shopping for pet insurance. I came across HealthyPaws, did my research and decided to give them a try. Premiums were reasonable. A few years later one of the kitties died accidentally. HealthyPaws sent me a sympathy card, hand signed by the employees. At about the same time my remaining cat started developing chronic UTIs and skin infections, necessitating treatment every 2 months. I submitted claims to HealthyPaws, via an in-phone app and was pleasantly surprised how eassy the whole process was, time and again. The claims were adjusted within hours and the check on the way within a couple of days. Simple, curtious and no drama. No questions asked. Just very recently my cat had a surgery to fix the issue of chronic infections. She had to be hospitalized for 10 days but recovered very nicely. HealthyPaws did not disappoint. The invoice was paid at 90% rate, check sent within days and a nice letter inquiring about kitty's health was just recently received. Amazingly nice and humane service. wish my health insurance was so reasonable and accommodating! Thank you HealthyPaws!

Coverage exactly as advertised. No hidden costs. Very prompt reimbursement. Helpful and caring customer service. A very good plan should you run into an expensive or extensive medical issue with your pet. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I had place my first claim through Healthy Paws after my dog tore his cranial cruciate ligament. Since he's a younger, large, athletic dog, the TPLO surgery was going to be necessary and it is not cheap. Working with Healthy Paws couldn't have been easier. Prior to the surgery, I called them up and told them the news. They asked me to submit the estimate and medical records, which was very easy to do. They looked over everything right then and there and had everything arranged for payment within a day. They even worked directly with my veterinarian's office to pay them directly, so I only had to cover my coinsurance. To make things better, they're always friendly, empathetic and genuine when contacting them. I cannot thank Healthy Paws enough for making the process as easy and stress-free as possible. It allowed me to focus on Quattro's surgery and recovery. He's two weeks post-op and doing awesome!
