Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has been amazing

After tons of comparative shopping and research, we chose Healthy Paws 2.5 years ago to cover our two Great Danes when they were 6 months old. The Policy was clear and easy to understand. The coverage as compared to other providers, along with the rate, is why we made the decision to go with Healthy Paws. The Customer Service team was great in answering any questions I had. We purchased the insurance hoping we would never need to use it. Unfortunately, one of our dogs (Vegas) was diagnosed with Addison's disease when she was about a year old. Her treatment requires costly monthly injections, other daily medications, and frequent Vet visits for lab work. Another condition Vegas had was frequent urinary tract infections requiring yet more expensive tests and follow-up medications. Just recently she underwent major and expensive surgery to correct an anatomical problem that should resolve the UTI issue moving forward. Our other dog (Reno) ended up having surgery the same day to remove a large growth on the side of his paw, again, an expensive treatment. Healthy Paws did a thorough review of the information and rapidly reimbursed us. The claim process is easy. I take a picture of the Vet invoice from my cell phone, submit it through the app, or alternatively, file a claim on the website. The claims have been processed very quickly and none have been denied. The Healthy Paws Customer Service team also reached out to us after the surgeries to show real human concern of how Reno and Vegas were doing in the two week recovery period. I highly recommend Healthy Paws and am so glad we chose them. Having Healthy Paws to rely on gives us piece of mind that our dogs can continue to receive high-quality care from our amazing Vets for the unknowns, with Healthy Paws backing us up each step of the way. We are extremely satisfied customers with Healthy Paws.

Thankful to have my pets insured with Healthy Paws

I cannot rave enough about having my pets insured with Healthy Paws. My 4 year old Shih Tzu/Bichon mix, Reese, in less than 2 months had to undergo 2 big surgeries. The first one was a Cystotomy (bladder stone removal surgery) in October 2018 and the second one was for a Portosystemic Shunt surgery (congenital liver shunt) in November 2018. The stones from the first surgery were sent for analysis and their composition turned out to be Urate (Ammonia) stones which are very uncommon for Reese’s breed. Further diagnostics revealed that he had a liver that was not functioning 100% which is the reason why the stones had formed. We are hoping this fixes the issue and Reese is done with his share of health issues. We’ve had HP insurance for more than 2 years but this is the first time we’ve had to file claims. I am very impressed with how the process has worked all the way from submitting the claim, HP asking for additional information and HP processing reimbursement pay out. HP also sent Reese a super cute get well soon card signed by the HP members. The personalized touch was really appreciated and it was so thoughtful of them to do this for my little Reesey. Thank you, HP. I am so thankful for having him and his brother, Rio insured with HP early on in their lives.
