Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Just over 2 weeks ago, Molly had a ruptured tumor on her spleen and was bleeding into her abdomen. The doctor cautioned us that 67% of these tumors are cancerous but I tend to be an optimist and wondered to myself why she couldn't be among the 33%. We have had Healthy Paws insurance for 8 years and had never used it so we decided to take a chance. Molly is one of the 33% but if we didn't have Healthy Paws, we would not have opted to pay the estimated $8,300 for a 10 year old dog. As it turned out, the bill was only $6,500 and we have already received our check for 80% minus the annual $500 deductible. They were very easy to work with and quick to respond. They checked in just about every day as they were reviewing Molly's paperwork. It was easy to download all of Molly's records, even for a senior citizen. Thank you Healthy Paws!!!

Shortly after getting my golden puppy I felt at sometime, health insurance would be a good investment. She is very driven and full of energy. We hike, train and fish together. At four she was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. My vet recommended a full hip replacement in her left hip. I contacted Healthy Paws to confirm I would be reimbursed 90% of the cost. A few days after the procedure they direct deposited that amount into my bank account. It was a life saver. Excellent customer service, and prompt payment put me at financial ease. We got a puppy from a reputable breeder 2 years ago, who has subsequently had 2 bowl obstructions and a broken leg, in addition to a recently diagnosed liver condition (all that in 2 years). I have been SOOO thankful for the Healthy Paws pet insurance that we purchased when we first got her. Without it, we definitely would have needed to put her down. The surgeries have totaled about $16,000 in 2 years, and Healthy Paws has never balked or let me down. With all of the care that our dog has received this year, I was nervous that they would hike my monthly rate up , but it only increased by $4.00 a month. Amazing! The plan is easy to work with (I put the bills on my credit card, and then take a picture of the itemized invoice and upload it to the Healthy Paws app). They have always paid me before my credit card bill is due. THANK YOU HEALTHY PAWS!!!! You guys are the BEST.

Our our six month old teacup Yorkie puppy Max hurt his leg and needed a pretty extensive surgery to repair it. Obviously My wife and I were very stressed out handing our little guy over to the surgeon. The vet bills for X-rays and the surgery added a level of stress as well until I submitted A claim to our Healthy Paws Pet insurance that we acquired for Max and his sister Daisy the day we brought them home. I submitted the claims through the Healthy Paws App and didn’t expect to have any results for quite some time but received an email the very next day saying the claims were complete and that the check for reimbursement was on its way. All my wife and I could say was Wow! We could not believe the response time and knowing that the reimbursement was on its way lifted a heavy burden off of our shoulders as this was Not an inexpensive ordeal. Not only was the claim paid so quickly but a representative from Healthy Paws named Tim Weiss emailed me to check in on Max and send us well wishes which we thought was just so kind and compassionate. Thank you Healthy Paws! We are telling everyone we know with a pet of our experience with this company. If only human health insurance was half as good as this.
