Healthy Paws comes through
I've had Health Paws Insurance for my two cats for several years now, and only needed it recently. My cat became ill and required quite a bit of extensive and expensive testing to diagnose and Health Paws came through with timely reimbursement on all the expenses. They made a stressful time a little easier by taking away the financial worries. I've been recommending them to everybody I know who has pets!

Great customer service and the app makes the entire process absolutely seamless. Just snap a pic of your vet bill and they take care of the rest. Highly recommend Healthy Paws.

Great Insurance Experience
Healthy Paws is such a great company! I have been a customer of two other pet insurance companies and they do not hold a candle to Healthy Paws. The claims process is simple and can be done literally in seconds. They have never denied a valid claim and are always very clear in explaining when a procedure is not covered. I highly recommend this pet insurance.

Healthy Paws has made it possible for me to keep my kitty alive for 10 years!
I adopted my cat, Enzo, from a shelter in 2009. He is a big, friendly, adventurous tuxedo who loves to be around people, dogs, cats and even the occasional rabbit.
Until 2013, he ate a diet of regular dry and wet food and was living the good life. In 2013 he developed bladder problems. He needed 2 emergency surgeries to clear out magnesium crystals from his bladder and to enlarge the opening for urine to flow. The cost of the surgeries, coming within weeks of each other, was much more than I was able to pay. If I didn't have Healthy Paws insurance, my only option was euthanasia. I called Healthy Paws and was assured that his surgeries and drugs were covered, and I received an insurance payment covering 90% of the total cost of the surgeries, aftercare and medications in time to pay the bill. Since 2013, Enzo has had a few more bladder issues, and, thankfully, all of his vet visits and medications have been covered.
I recommend Healthy Paws to everyone I know who has pets. The reps are all animal lovers, they understand the stress you feel when your companion is ill, and they work hard to get your claims processed as quickly as possible. The monthly premium is affordable and the website makes it quick and easy to file a claim. It's a great company.
Monthly Cost
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
