Pleasantly surprised to have positive insurance experience!

We have a 6 month old Samoyed puppy who ate bark at puppy daycare. She started having diarrhea and then vomiting so we had to take her to the emergency vet on a late Friday night. We were terrified she had a blockage or perforation. After 2 emergency vet visits, 2 x-rays, an ultrasound, 2 days of hospitalization, and a bill for nearly $5K I was prepared for a fight with insurance because that seems to be how customers are treated in every situation. No one wants to help or take responsibility and I assumed this would be the same. We had absolutely zero issues. I uploaded the invoices (and there were lots!) very easily, received the automatic response that the claims were being processed, and within days everything that was covered was approved and the reimbursement was in my account. I was shocked as I thought I'd have to spend hours on the phone with them justifying the costs and having my vets call them and fighting it out. If they needed any additional info, it was all done on their end. They even emailed to check to see how my puppy was doing the next week. I highly recommend Healthy Paws. It gave us the comfort and ability to do what was best for our puppy without having to think about the cost. I wish everyone could have this comfort and I look forward to many more years of it!

The best decision I've ever made

Getting healthy paws pet insurance was the best decision I have ever made for my dog. My dog has gotten TWO tplo surgeries and they have, without even blinking shelled out over 8,000 for my dog. If I had never gotten insurance I would be in great debt. Best decision I've ever made for my dog.

Healthy Paws is outstanding and genuinely cares for my pet

I have been with Healthy Paws for the past 3 years and recently had to contact them for expenses related to my dog’s surgery. The customer service and support was outstanding - very professional and thoroughly explained the claim process. I submitted my claims via the iPhone app, which was extremely easy to use. I received immediate feedback indicating receipt of the claim and then another email detailing specific coverage. I received my claim reimbursement check within a week of initial submission. Likewise, I received an email from Healthy Paws after my dog’s medical procedure inquiring as to how she did with her surgery. I am grateful I have Healthy Paws insurance and most importantly, I sincerely appreciate their outstanding support, prompt claims processing, and genuine concern for my “little girl.”

Healthy Paws has been a lifesaver for me and my dog

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for my dog for almost five years, and it was one of the best decisions I made. I never needed it...until I did, of course. In the past 14 months, my dog has had TPLO surgery on both knees. One knee went perfectly, the other knee had every rare post-op complication known to dogkind, which resulted in two more surgeries, plus physical therapy and many, many x-rays and tests. Healthy Paws has covered everything--even the physical therapy! It's super easy to submit a claim, and I get a reimbursement check in the mail within a week. They have never questioned or denied a claim, and everyone I've talked with or emailed with there has been incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't recommend them enough--I honestly wish my own human insurance was this good (and this easy)!

I only had to worry about my pup.

My 7 month old Goldendoodle, Quincee, wouldn't eat breakfast one morning, only grass, and I knew something was wrong. My regular vet had no openings so I took her to the emergency vet. X-rays showed what appeared to be rocks in her intestine, which she passed, but an ultrasound the following day revealed an obstruction she could not pass. Emergency surgery was performed and a piece of rubber toy she had dug up in the yard along with all that grass she ate to try and throw up were removed. Through this 4 day or so process I only worried about Quincee and not how much it was costing. As soon as I could I had insured her with Healthy Paws and I am so thankful I did. After my $250 annual deductible, they paid 90% of Quincee's $5,400 bill. Healthy Paws let me know when the vet filed the claim for me (my choice), kept me up to date on the progress, checked up on Quincee's recovery, and sent my reimbursement checks within, I believe, seven days. Quincee's older brother has also been insured with Healthy Paws since he was a baby. I now know what a wise decision it was and I really do recommend them to all the fur parents I know.
