FRAUD
I tried filing a claim beginning of August and we sent documentation over 6 times both myself and the vet office and they closed our case to “no documentation”

Do it all from your phone! Simple
Healthy Paws was very straightforward and very easy to use. My only complaint is that some of the automated messages were confusing (ie. it asked for my dog’s vet records multiple times) and that they wouldn’t cover injury-related fees because our vet wrote them as “exam” - even though I called to clarify what this was with Healthy Paws.

Used to be a great company but, sadly not anymore!
I sat on hold for more then an hour today, I was disconnected three times, transferred four times and finally when I did get a human being I was just told that my claims are all completed. The claims are not completed. Right on the dashboard is shows n/a under 3 of my open claims. One other claim was submitted but isn't showing and I can not view which one didn't go through. These claims have not even received claim numbers yet and they were submitted almost a month ago. My policy premium continues to rise and the customer service continues to decline. I can hardly even understand the people answering the phones anymore because they hardly can speak English. I am incredibly unhappy with this company that I have bragged about for the last 4 years. What a shame. I will be looking into other companies as this is not how I like to do business.

Great customer service
My dog Guinness ended up needing major ACL surgery. Filing a claim is so easy with healthy paws and the customer service is amazing. They even emailed me to ask how he was doing after his surgery!
Monthly Cost
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
