Healthy Paws is the Best

After a recent dental cleaning I was advised that my dog Casper had several shaky teeth & a growth in his mouth. The Vet stated oral surgery & a biopsy was required.. Contacted Healthy Paws who stated that same was required by Vet & would be covered. The surgery was performed & all went well & Casper is now recoverd from the ordeal. Upon submission of invoice & med records my claim was quickly processed & a check was received within 2 weeks. I cannot thank Healthy Paws enough for their concern & expediated processing & Casper has also given you 5 woofs.

Misleading marketing/communications, hard to work with

Healthy Paws has been hard to work with from the get-go. I had to have my vet call them to explain that a procedure was not related to a pre-existing condition -- while they ultimately approved the claim (thanks, dr. Dunning), that exemplifies their efforts not to support customers. Also, make sure you read the fine print on EVERYTHING — emails, website, printed materials, etc. They do not make some things obvious, so do your homework. Customer service is incredibly impersonal and feels like an exceptionally cheery bot. I probably wouldn’t be half as upset as I am if the customer service people were at all apologetic when they aren’t able to help. Getting a negative email with cheery exclamation points creates a weird cognitive dissonance. Whoever heads customer support needs to take a communications 101 class.

HealthyPaws Saved My Dog's Life!

Where to begin... we rescued an adult German Shepherd a few years ago, and enrolled him in Healthy Paws right away (like my other dog). That was the best decision I've made, as we are now the proud owners of a "$10,000 dog". Yes, $10k. That's how much his vet bills cost to save his life. My male german shepherd had difficulty breathing, and had a pneumothorax from an unknown growth on one of his lung lobes - long story short I had to rush him to veterinary ER for emergency open heart surgery to remove the mass on his lung and fluid/air buildup. I remember calling Healthy Paws from the vets office literally shaking after the vet told me it was going to cost close to $10 grand to save his life. The customer service I received over the phone was amazing - they verified they would be here and boy were they! Quick claims processes, and I was able to make the right decision. Instead of being unable to afford a $10k vet bill, we paid the diagnostic fees and 10% of all medications and surgical bills (and his long vet stay). Healthy Paws is worth every penny - you're buying INSURANCE as RISK MANAGEMENT, so the $100 I pay per month for both my dogs is well worth it. Healthy Paws customer here for life.
