Fast claim process and great customer service

Had other insurances in the past, this has been by far the best for the past 4 years. Great customer service if you need to talk to someone. The best is their fast paperless claim process which takes about 6 days. They also email you to see how your pet is doing nice touch on their part.

They had our back when we truly needed it most

After having a *very* bad experience with another pet insurance company (we were with them for two years only to have the only claims we submitted denied multiple times) , I was very skeptical of signing up for another pet insurance service after we got our pet Maddie. Thankfully I listened to my sister in law who sang the praises of healthypaws and how much they helped her out with a really difficult situation with her pet. I say this because we have had a number of health issues going on with our girl Maddie and Healthypaws has had our back every step of the way. I never go out of my way to write reviews for ANYTHING but had to do so for healthypaws because of how much they have assisted my wife and I with our dog. We are not rich people but we knew that Maddie is family to us and we wanted her protected incase she dealt with a health situation involving large amounts of money. Unfortunatley, that situation arose but we were able to move forward with the treatment plan provided by a specialist and finances were not a concern knowing healthypaws was able to reimburse us a LARGE amount of what it ended up costing. I am not sure we would have been able to afford this on our own and I can't say enough good things about how healthypaws had Maddie's back.In the end after we received the endoscopy results we found out that if we went with the cheaper treatment plans (which didnt involve an endoscopy and we would proceeded with if we didnt have insurance), we would never have found out what was wrong with her and why she was dealing with the serious issue at hand. Pets are family and if you want my personal opinion of the best service to have you covered- go with healthypaws. I can't stress this enough. It's also extremely easy to file a claim. Writing this review was my pleasure and I can't express how great healthypaws is and has been. We will be a customer for life.

Health Paws Let Me Down - Big Time

Initially, Healthy Paws were great - until my dog Daisy chipped a tooth, an accidental trauma explicitly covered by my plan. The vet's procedure included a dental cleaning. Despite that cleaning being a required procedure as part of the treatment, and despite a special letter from my vet explaining that this dental cleaning was NOT preventative care, Health Paws declined to cover the costs. If you want to file an appeal, forget it: the customer service rep refused to read the vet's letter and simply said "no." I'm extremely disappointed. I expressed interest in canceling my plan - they went ahead and canceled it for me. Health Paws doesn't care about its policyholders at all.
