Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

One of the best decisions we've ever made. Knowing that Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has our back in uncertain times has allowed our dog to have the best treatment possible when issues arise. You don't see too many companies sending a follow-up personalized email asking about your dog's specific condition and making sure he or she is ok. Great company.

I have had healthy paws for about a year now. Over the past year I had used it couple times here and there to cover minor costs involving various vet visits for my cat. But then my sweet kitty had a more major accident and broke his foot. It became a very expensive injury costing me around $2000 after adding up all the follow up visits, cast changes, x-rays, and other tests along the way. After each visit I’d submit our vet invoice to healthy paws and within a week I’d have the majority reimbursed by healthy paws. overall I only paid a few hundred dollars out of that $2000 and healthy paws covered the rest! It was SO comforting not having to base my decisions regarding my cats medical treatment on how much money it would cost. I was able to agree to whatever was BEST for my cat because I knew healthy paws would have my back financially. My cat truly would not be on the same road to recovery that he is now if I didn’t have them for pet insurance. I will get healthy paws for every single pet I have for the rest of my life and recommend it to every pet parent out there. Healthy Paws makes it so easy to submit a claim- I upload a photo of the vet invoice directly through the app, they review it and direct deposit my reimbursement within days. I was uncertain about getting pet insurance but I am SO GLAD I did as my dog needed ACL surgery and cyst removal surgery. I think it's important to first of all review coverage. Pet insurance does not cover routine check-up and vaccines, They are for unexpected problems. It's also important to realize it doesn't work like human insurance. You pay your vet and then get reimbursed. Once you understand that, you will love healthy paws. The price per month is fair and the coverage, ease, and customer service is great. I have gotten friendly emails after my dog's procedures to check in on him. I highly recommend. I am a customer for life.
