We have been with petplan for 6 years with our relatively healthy cav. We've submitted 3 claims in that time for minor issues.
In the 6 years out policy has increased by 1500$/ yr
They have no explanation for this except it should increase yearly.
The payout for our claims total is about 400$.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOURSELF THE HASSLE
You charge people monthly but cover NOTHING! You try your best to decline each claim by relating them to wellness or pre-existing conditions. I paid for over two years, never missing a payment or being late, but yet they denied my claim, citing a pre-existing condition. The claims supervisor I spoke to was so rude and condescending. You are better off saving money yourself than dealing with this company! I will say the lady I spoke to to cancel my account was very kind and respectful, but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the financial burden and situation I now find myself in, all because this company gave me incorrect information and "there's nothing they can do about that."

Rude and pushy customer service
Spoke with Toni a few weeks ago and she refused to let me cancel my policy for my dog. She was pushy and rude. I guess will wait for my claim to be finished but if my claim isnt approved I will 100% cancel

Terrible customer service
when i chatted with Danielle on 2/2/2023 i request for a follow up to be sure my personal card info that was used for refunds and payments be removed from the profile. she never followed up. Customer service is vague and useless. i am concerned about fraud or this company gets hacked i should have the right to removed my card information. this is just one example of multiple requests i have done with this company by phone or chat. each reach rep says it will take 7 days and i will get a follow up and they never follow up. your company does not need my card information anymore and i should have the right to have it removed. i can only suggest whoever reads this that they know how difficult it is to get anyone to follow up with a simple request. i will never do business with this company again
