They Decline Everything
I wanted to love these guys. I'd had a very positive experience with my previous company, but the premium prices were escalating rapidly. I was able to insure both of my dogs for the price I had been paying for one. The catch was that, even after two full years with this company, they continually declined every single claim, based on "needs more documentation," or in one case, my dog had had a small blemish, which had been looked at about 3 years earlier. When the doctor elected to remove it, this was declined as a pre-existing condition. It was basically a pimple, and these guys informed me that all such claims would now be excluded. I decided that if we were going to have to plan on covering all vet bills and nothing was covered, I wasn't going to pay premiums as well. I'll put that money in a special account and it'll be there when we need it. Also, they notified us that our premiums were going from $167 a month to $350 a month. No thanks.
