Highly satisfied.

Highly satisfied. Not sure what was more impressive - their shockingly fast reimbursement or that they followed up to see how our sick pup, Adam, is doing. The team at Embrace have a very human touch and they've made the drudgery that is usually attendant to filing a claim, an absolute breeze.

Accidental Pet Policy Claim

We had to cancel our standard pet coverage last year but our Embracing representative talked us into keeping a lower cost "accidentally" policy and we are thankful that we did due to our dog being injured. The surgery was over $1000 and the claims process was smooth covering the majority of the cost and reimbursing us quickly. Thank you for a great claim experience!

Fast and Easy to submit claim. Hardest part of the process was scanning my paper files to a USB in order to upload them, but you could just take a picture with your phone.

We made our first claim on October 28

We made our first claim on October 28, and I totally understand that a first claim can take longer than 10 to15 days because the company will check the medical history of your pet. In our pet's case, it is under 1 year of when we took the policy out, for our now 15 month old dog. Submitting the claim was VERY easy and the customer service with Kyle, on a question I had was very helpful! So far, so good.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
