Very happy customer!

Embrace has always handled my claims quickly and efficiently. Most recently, there was an issue regarding a portion of my claim which would not be covered under normal circumstances. After further review, the claims department was able to see that the portion under review was medically required and happily covered it in a timely manner.

Boo!

All of our claims were denied. My dog had never been diagnosed with a uti, but because she had another issue in the region that was entirely different they denied our claim and said she had been diagnosed with one previously, which she had not. Also denied our claim that involved a bacterial ear infection (that did have a little yeast) because she had had a yeast infection in her year 7 months before.

So far so good

Got coverage for my puppy including the "we'll care" option for vet exams, immunizations, flea and tick medicines, etc... So far I have gotten all my claims promptly with no hassles and I did it all electronically by emailing PDFs of my receipts and forms. I have yet to have a medical claim, but based on the experience thus far, I'm not too concerned.

Worry free Wellness

Embrace handles the Wellness rewards for my pup so efficiently. His routine vaccinations etc. covered by the wellness portion of his insurance make his annual visits a breeze (time and money).

Never fails to impress me!

I've had such consistently great experiences with Embrace that I think it's time they took over the country's health insurance for people. If only it could all be run this well. Excellent timely communication. Quick turnaround. Clear emails, appropriate claims processing, helpful personalized responses to inquiries!

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
