My previous dog, a bichon frise, had to have back surgery twice in less than a year, when he was around 7, ruptured discs. $5000 per event. My previous pet insurance paid nothing, because my baby had had back pain when he was 2, prior to purchasing the insurance policy.When I got my current bichon, Scarlett, I essentially purchased Embrace insurance for her before I brought her home. And I'm so glad I did! 2 years ago, she scratched her neck raw, due to allergies. Over the course of the past 2 years, she has been treated by a holistic vet approximately 2x per month; Accupuncture and Chinese herbs. (Embrace covers the Accupuncture but not the herbs.) She also had complete allergy testing done, by a veterinary allergist/dermatologist, and she now takes daily antihistamines and monthly injections. Poor baby is still scratching, and Embrace is still paying 80%. Bless them, they have paid a lot more than I have paid for premiums for the past 4 years! I recommend them to everyone. If only I could get such good coverage for myself!
(Note, the first claim submitted took a couple of weeks for them to process, collecting all kinds of info. Subsequent claims have been paid in under 2 weeks!)

AWESOME- no hassle and quick reimbursements!
embrace has been a completely awesome pet insurance. its very easy to submit claims, they inform you when they have received a claim and if they need more information which my vet is very thorough and embrace has never asked for additional information, they don't take long at all to review claims and once they are approved shortly after they reimburse you. I've submitted 5 claims already, 2 of them being $3,000 because my dog tore both of her cranial cruciate ligaments in both knees and embrace never gave me any trouble at all. they review the vets notes and recommendations and reimburse me within like a month! i love embrace and wouldn't change my pet insurance for anything!

Love the coverage
As a former vet tech, I have enough knowledge I am dangerous when my dogs are sick. Embrace lets me be the nutty doggie mom I am and give them the care I want them to have without having to worry about the cost.

a blend of compassion and fairness.
My dog Lily was diagnosed with a hole in her heart. When I submitted all of the medical bills they all were denied. The denial was based on a pre-existing condition. I didn't agree with this judgment and therefore submitted reasons for why I thought the decision was wrong.To my surprise eEmbrace acted fairly and compassionately and overturned the previous decision. A very professional and intelligent company that acted with maturity, fairness and empathy. Not the usual qualities you would expect to find in an insurance company. I'm forever grateful for your actions.
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
