Glad we had Embrace!

When we first got our new puppy a few years ago, we decided to get Embrace for both the new puppy and our other dog. So, when our Peanut, a 9 year old Golden Retriever/Chocolate Lab mix was diagnosed with a foreign body obstruction and needed to have emergency surgery that included a hefty bill that we weren't expecting, we were thankful to have this pet insurance. Embrace was very easy to work with and friendly. The claim process was quick and it saved me bundles! Since then we have recommended them to all of our friends with pets!

Embrace Pet Insurance is the best!

We hesitated in obtaining pet insurance for our 1 year old cat. However we spent a lot of money with prior cats as they got older. Unbeknown to us our cat would develop IBD and require blood tests and scans to determine her illness and get her back on the road to recovery. She just had another major flare up...cannot say enough good about Embrace ~ they are there when you need them most. Very prompt service as well.

Quick Payment and No Questions Asked

Our baby girl Sheena started having seizures and we took her to Univ. of TN Vet Hospital for a MRI and Spinal Tap to find the problem. Embrace paid over $1700.00 for these procedures within 10 days. Never had Pet Insurance before but I am a believer now.

Overall great service - but be a good consumer too

I have 3 dogs insured with Embrace. My biggest suggestion is add your dog to your policy as soon as you get the animal! One dog has lots of pre-existing conditions because I didn't know early enough to get insurance. Check the 2 types they offer - Accident/Illness vs Wellness. Be sure to check your coverage, or put in the paperwork for pre-certification to be sure certain things are covered. Dental work is NOT under accident/illness. And the final approval will be based on the final diagnosis, so if you have work done based on an initial diagnosis (that is covered) and then the outcome shows a different problem (that isn't covered), you are stuck with the bill. But Embrace is one of the few companies who covers congenital defects like hip dysplasia. We are in the middle of extensive PT and rehab following FHO surgery to alleviate arthritis pain caused by dysplasia, and everything has been covered. When the surgery had complications due to an unknown bleeding disorder, everything was covered even though it exceeded the pre-approved quote. While we do have to pay bills up front, then apply for re-embursement, the claims procedure is usually very quick. Using direct deposit, I typically have money back within 2 weeks (as long as the vet does their part to provide paperwork). The 10-15% rate increase every year is getting a little harder to swallow though!
