Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I am so happy I picked Embrace for my insurance. Everything is easy to get reimbursed. I have always feared dealing with insurance companies. Most of the time they put you through so many steps. They make my busy life easy.

Ani and I have been members since 2015 and Pet Embrace has responded and processed all claims quickly and efficiently.

I am so thankful for this insurance!! Extremely easy to submit claims. My vet just faxes records from the visit. Claims are filed and reviewed in a timely manner and reimbursements are conveniently deposited in my account. Any time I have contacted customer service they have been very polite, helpful and caring. My miniature schnauzer has many health problems especially as she ages. Now she is getting ready to have her spleen removed. Coverage on these illnesses is covered at 80%. Deductible is small, considering how much mine is for people health insurance, which is nice. I may not be able to afford the good care my dog gets without this insurance, so it is a blessing. I just wish they would cover pre-existing conditions. That is the only reason I did not give a 10.

After having other insurance carriers in the past, we switched to Embrace several years ago. Not long after that switch, our sweet boy was taken from us by Leukemia. It was an incredibly traumatic experience for our family, but Embrace was the one thing we didn't have to worry about. Our claims were processed immediately, and we had our reimbursements within a few days. The Embrace staff members we dealt with even sent a handwritten card to us to say how sorry they were for our loss. We've been loyal Embracers ever since. The most recent issue we had with one of our boys required several tests over multiple visits, and - true to form - Embrace handled everything within days. I even received a personal follow-up email from the co-founder and COO making sure we received our payments. Who does that?! ... Well, Embrace does, and we couldn't be happier with their service. Their coverage plans are outstanding, their service is second-to-none, and their prices are competitive. A+

Maybe it's because I've only recently started buying pet insurance, and am accustomed to paying all my dogs' vet bills out of pocket, but it is wonderful to be able to make a small monthly premium payment and then be reimbursed for the vast majority of the money I've paid to the vet's office. The "Wellness" portion of the coverage is a really good value; I get more than I pay for, and the fact that Embrace reimburses for the actual amount charged, rather than setting a fixed amount for each service covered, means that I get the maximum reimbursement without paying premiums for services my dog doesn't need or use. And the coverage for illness or injury has been well worth what I've paid for it, both in terms of repayment for relatively minor issues (most recently, a urinary tract infection) and in terms of the peace of mind I get knowing that I will be able to afford the treatment she *might* need in a major accident or illness. (And I write this as someone whose previous dog had an illness for which I paid thousands in emergency vet bills and diagnostic MRI, in addition to regular health costs and medications to help his condition.)
