Refused to Pay

This is one of the most difficult insurance companies I have ever dealt with. Have been insured for some time and when finally came to pay at claim, they wanted an inordinate about of past medical information, not even related to the current illness. My vet said they would pay well, but she was wrong. Now, after over $1200 in vet bills, I get nothing because my vet would only release info to us and was not convenient for me as a busy physician. Otherwise, it was okay

EMBRACE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY

Last year my 6 year old Rottie suddenly began limping. She was diagnosed with immune mediated poly-arthritis and lymphoma. Her prognosis was not good. The also has 2 prior ACL surgeries. This was a complicated diagnosis but Embrace reviewed all the medical records and the specialists' opinion and did cover all expenses. Very compassionate and caring company. They also covered the acupuncture and holistic vet. My dog is still doing well!

Horrible Customer Service

A website that doesn't recognize my email, even though Embrace emails me regularly, and endless hold time on calls. Impossible to get information on my claim. All in all, an awful experience.

"With a little help from my friends"

Embrace has been a life saver for my wife and I, and quite literally for our cats. They are friendly, efficient, and timely. Hard to put a price on peace of mind. We are very happy with their services. In the words of The Beatles, "We get by with a little help from our friends.."

My cat had metastasized breast cancer

Embrace has been wonderful about my Dolly's cancer. I had the plan with paid up to $10,000. .They covered 90% of my bills up to $10,000.They paid in a timely fashion and when I was so sad and upset they were very kind. Dolly had 5 chemo treatments. She just passed away a month ago in the Animal Medical Hospital here in New York City.Sometime in the future I will get another cat. I will surely get.Embrace Insurance. Hopefully my future cat will never need them ;but if she does,I know they are there. I never thought I would be writing this about an insurance company. But I can truly say that Embrace came through with flying colors. Thank you Embrace.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
