Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

We have to recommend Embrace after our recent experiences with Boomer, our 6 year old Scottish Terrier. We have had Embrace since Boomer was a puppy -- using the Wellness rider to help pay for his puppy costs and then continued once he became a teen/adult. Although he's 6, we hadn't submitted any claims to embrace as he was a happy, healthy dog... or so we thought. I came home on the first of March to find Boomer not being his normal self and greeting me at the door. He wouldn't move and was a sack of potatoes when trying to pick him up. Needless to say we rushed to the Vet Hospital. When the doctors examined him, his platelet count was zero and had blood in his abdomen. The prognosis was ITP -- a condition where Boomer's immune system attacks his own platelets in his blood -- and without platelets he's able to bleed very easily. The techs did not expect him to live that first night. After five days in the vet hospital with 2 platelet transfusions and one treatment of IVIG later Boomer was luckily on his way to recovery. All during the decision process we thankfully knew that we had Embrace behind us so that we could make decisions as to his care based on the options that we had in front of us, rather than the potential costs. We submitted the claim and it was promptly paid by Embrace, without any question, within 10 days. We cannot rave enough about the piece of mind that Embrace brought us in this recent incident. Our 2 year old Pharaoh hound has been on Embrace since he cam home with us. Luckily, nothing Major but we had to file claims for a swallowed foreign object, a UTI and some allergies that get bad from time to time. I've filed claims myself and also had the vet file directly. It's easy and quick either way. I'm looking to add another Dog to the family and I definitely will add them to the policy for the piece of mind of knowing a significant bill is budget-able. Thanks! I have covered all 4 of my giant breed dogs for years and Embrace has never let me down. If I disagreed with a coverage (seldom happens), they listened to me and my vets and resolved it to my satisfaction. The prescription coverage with my old guy has helped him live a good life despite his age. The costs would have been crushing. I have reviewed other policies which were cheaper (I am a paralegal) and the coverage was not nearly as good - especially as dogs age. If you love your pet, Embrace is THE plan to go with.

Embrace makes the insurance process very simple & easy to understand when going through issues with our furry family members. I would & have recommended this company to others. When we first got pet insurance, would have been the happiest pet parents if we never had to use it, however they help make big health decisions easier. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
