New to Pet Insurance

I have to say I was always unsure of buying insurance for our pets, but then we decided on a corgi pup I wanted to be sure he would get the care he needed at all times and not worry about cost. I have to say in the 1st year it has paid for itself with him breaking his foot at 6 months old. Embrace is fast and on point with their communication. A+Brian

Embrace Claim Review

Everything went smoothly. The Vet faxed over my paperwork. I received an email from Embrace the paperwork arrived, and then a few days later that the claim was being reviewed. Lastly, I got an email that the claim was processed and complete. No issues, which was great. I've been a member for 10 years and I have had not problems.

It was quick and painless.

The insurance is a major help to pay off the actual vet bill. This was great for Chloe's much need dental cleaning.

Reliable for taking payments, not much else

Unfortunately, I have had a series with poor experiences with Embrace so far, though I was initially enthusiastic about what they had to offer. My pets do have pre-existing conditions, but the extent of which Embrace has defined that is unbelievable. My cat that was tentatively (not definitively) diagnosed with IBD to explain a single bout of vomiting, whom had had few incidents with vomiting in the past, was defined as not covered not only for IBD, but for "vomiting" as a PERMANENT condition. Vomiting is not a pre-existing condition, it is a symptom, and I am shocked that Embrace is treating it as the former (I can understand the IBD even though my vet had noted at the time that she wasn't sure my cat had that at all). If a pet is sick, nine times out of ten, something is either coming out one end of the other, and to exclude any and all conditions that include vomiting as a symptom is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Embrace did eventually agree to cover one of my cat's surgeries after receiving additional information from my vet re-explaining that she had suffered from an intestinal obstruction (even though this was also explained in the extensive medical notes sent to Embrace at the time of the incident). I was grateful for this, because at the time, it was the only thing I had to show for the $70+/month I was paying for insurance coverage that I wasn't receiving on any of my claims. However, following that, every claim that comes through for my cat has required varying amounts of hoop-jumping on the part of myself or my veterinarian. Her post-surgery follow up visits were not initially covered citing "no coverage for pre-existing condition of IBD", even though the surgery had nothing to do with IBD or anything related. I was eventually able to get all this resolved by talking to Alissa T, who took the time to not only re-review the most recent claim I was having to dispute, but to go back and look at all the others too after giving me her direct contact info in the case of any more mishaps. She was very helpful and has thus far been the only representative I've spoken to who has been truly responsive and easy to work with (I've had a couple of incidents where I have sent emails to the claims department with questions or concerns and they have just never been responded to). I have heard good things about Embrace and I hope that I can see these things in action moving forward, as I think that (were I not experiencing all the is
