Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I have written many other reviews so will just now say that we are grateful everyday that there is a great insurance option like Embrace for our dogs.We got insurance for our 4 almost 3 years ago and Embrace has been with us through so many medical situations including 3 cancer surgeries. They cover exactly what they say they will. They have (as promised) allowed us to decide what specialist we feel good about using (Board Certified surgeon, oncologist and internist) and what procedures, in conjunction with the vets, will help our dogs have the best possible outcome. The customer service team is AWESOME. Pleasant, friendly and very good at what they do. You can choose a higher deductible to make the monthly premium more affordable. Vet bills can be HUGE and a $1,000 deductible to go on say a credit card if needed so you can save your beloved family member is an easy choice. Direct deposit reimbursement just another great option. Just a great company.

Embrace pet insurance offers reasonable rates and is very easy to submit wellness or illness claims. I'm going into my third year with them and can't say enough about the peace of mind I have knowing my cat has coverage for expensive vet bills. An excellent service!

I am absolutely satisfied with the manner Embrace resolves my veterinary claim for my pet dog Pono. They are quick and always keeps you in the loop of the process period. I am so glad I am covered with Embrace.

I switched from another pet insurance company to Embrace in May 2017, because it was conveniently offered by my auto insurance carrier. It was an expensive mistake. The policy language states that there is a TWO WEEK exclusion for illness and a one year exclusion for CHRONIC conditions. My dog developed diarrhea after the two week exclusion ended. Believing that she was insured, I took her to the (expensive) emergency vet and agreed to a $300 blood test. The blood test showed some elevated levels, so I followed up with her regular vet. I submitted claims for both visits, which were denied on the basis that an unrelated episode of diarrhea 10 months prior was a pre-existing condition. Now I have to waste my time and my vet's time proving that my healthy dog does not have chronic diarrhea. Fortunately I live in California where we have an active Attorney General and strong consumer protection laws.
