Chela's spinal fusion/laminectomy
Thanks to Embrace Pet Insurance my dog Chela is able to wag her tail again(literally). She had a ruptured disc and a very narrow spinal canal with impingement of the nerves. After a pre-approved MRI and CT (also thanks to Embrace)they did a spinal fusion and laminectomy. It was done about 10 days ago, and thanks to a fast pre-approval process, the claim has already been approved. She is already moving her right rear foot better and is able to wag her tail! Prior to surgery, her tail just hung down limp with very little movement. She is still in some pain, but manageable with medication. The total bill was almost $8000 including the MRI. I hope this surgery will greatly improve her quality of life. Thank goodness for great pet insurance, without it so many pet owners are faced with tough decisions based on finances, not the best interests and welfare of a beloved pet. Thanks Embrace, and tail wags from Chela
