Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Our pet was placed on an antibiotic and a steroid for a severe ear infection. Embrace conveniently used a pre-existing skin condition to deny coverage. We are only thankful that we discovered Embraces lack of effort to cover with an earache verses a life-threatening disease. We will choose more wisely a different pet insurance company for our Molly at the next premium due date.

Recently had to call Embrace and spoke to Christine Batten about my dog, Bear. Bear has had a lot of claims this past year and I was confused about several intertwining ones. Christine was extremely helpful and went out of her way to resolve this. It was such a delight to work with her - kudos to Christine and Embrace.

I am so glad that USAA introduced me to this company. I am well pleased with the exceptional customer service and th speed of responses to emails that I send. I just wish that the wellness plan was more.

Our dog, Tia, had massive cluster seizures over labor day weekend, which necessitated at trip and overnight stay with the emergency vet service here. She then had to be transferred to our regular vet for a stay. There was a point at which we had to make a decision whether to have her euthanized because of the severity of the seizures and an extremely high temperature she had run. At this point we were looking at a bill of $2500.00. Because we have Embrace insurance we decided to wait one more day. That next day Tia was almost totally recovered. She is now back to 100%, and we are so grateful that we have the insurance and could make that decision.

I like using embrace as it is easy to file a claim from anywhere and the service is quick. Usually I have my reimbursement directly to the bank within a week of filing the claim. That reduces the processing time and the transit time. They keep you up to date on the claim status. My only complaint is that for this review they do not list my actual dog breed--Lagotto Romagolo-- as an option so I put her in as a Portuguese Water Dog. Now how minor is that! I insure all three of my dogs thru Embrace and I love that they cover my 13 year old--who is a Portuguese Water Dog.
