Laser and acupuncture therapy helped my dog's lameness
My dog was wounded by two feral dogs two years ago. He sustained wounds in his groin which were invisible to me and to our vets. Our regular vet and the emergency vet said the issue was in our dog's spine. His main veterinarian began a prescription of prednisone. Our dog, Murphy, worsened. Certain movements would throw him into a fit of howling and pain. He would fall over and couldn't walk. He began to be afraid of walking. He took to hiding in the closet. He barely moved and he gained a lot of weight. A friend recommended a holistic vet. We took him to the holistic vet for a thorough exam. She diagnosed scar tissue in his groin. He was nursing his wound when he walked and throwing his spine and shoulders out of alignment. The holistic vet treated him for 18 months with acupuncture and laser therapy to break up the scar tissue and teach the muscle damage in his back and shoulders. She did many spinal realignments on our dog. I couldn't believe it when my initial insurance claim came back covered from Embrace. I was shocked actually. But because of the coverage, I was able to take my dog to this special vet twice monthly until he was able to walk more comfortably. We reduced therapy to once monthly and after several more months, he was able to hop up on to the sofa with me and take the stairs into our home just as he had used to. We've just finished up our therapy and our dog is doing really well. Thank you for staying the course with us Embrace. We were able to heal our dog with a very long course of treatment and the support of your comprehensive dog insurance!
