Embrace is peace of mind

My 9 year old border collie presented to the ER with retching, pale gums and general anxiety. After being triaged by the staff I was brought into a room with the vet and told my dog had gastric dilatation volvulus aka bloat and needed emergency surgery. GDV is a life threatening condition known as the "mother of all emergencies" in the veterinary world. Because of Embrace, all I had to worry about was saving my dogs life and getting him recovered. Happily, 12 days later he is back to his normal self!

You need what?

Bought this insurance for my 3 dogs, always paid on time and in full, first claim for wellness they required medical records from the past as they were rescue dogs, jumped through hoops contacting vets in Texas and Tennessee to get them what they needed, second year well check and they refused to pay on one of the dogs said we needed his medical records again... Claim was for nothing but a well check and they said he had an illness and needed proof that it wasn't a pre existing condition, and when records didn't show anything they refused to pay the claim.

Embrace will raise your price if you move

Warning to potential customers Embrace will raise your price if you move to a new state a lot of money . Up to 1000.00 more a year . New price will be more that if you were a new customer at the same dog age . You will be stuck since Dogs Policies have pre existing policy exceptions . If you leave embrace your Dog will not be cover for all previous issues . Claims are fast After being with Embrace for over 8 years ... no loyal customer discounts if you move

Professional and prompt handleing of claim.

This is my second pet with Embrace. I am well pleased with their efforts in responding to my claim. At this time, I would not consider another pet insurer.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
