IMHO - Embrace Pet Insurance is the best in the business.
Years ago, I had another dog insured with another per insurance company and had a bad experience. Therefore I mistrusted all pet insurance companies and felt that pet insurance was a waste of money that didn't pay for anything. Embrace Pet Insurance changed my mind. Embrace has people who genuinely care about your pet and live up to their part of the agreement. In short IMHO, you can trust them!!

Unexpectedly great service
I have a fairly low opinion of insurance companies, mostly because of human insurance and how they seem to do everything they can to avoid paying claims, and making life difficult for doctors and patients in order to lower payments or have people give up getting paid altogether. And (before the ACA), insurers would nit pick everything in your application to hunt for supposedly pre-existing conditions or any other excuse to avoid paying the claims. So, when I made my first claim(s) with Embrace after being an insured for several years, I was expecting the worse. Instead, the claims were accepted without any hassle whatsoever. I was stunned and very pleased, especially given that a large sum of money was involved!

I find Embrace a good coverage for both wellness and emergencies
I have only good things to share with those looking for pet insurance. My only problem is Embrace cannot put a notation on my file to call or e mail me decisions I do not do the portal.

Paid for itself in the first month!
The combination of the accident and wellness plans provides very thorough coverage. The wellness plan paid for itself with the a spay surgery, and the accident/emergency coverage paid for itself when a complication required a second surgery. I only wish there was an option to pay more to have a higher annual amount available for wellness and a lower deductible.
Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
