In a word...THE BEST!

Ive experienced many pet insurers from Trupanion that lilited benefits if you didnr neuter your pet (dictator CEO)...to VPI that paid 50% and most pet parents. Ouldnt afford the other 50% so pets lost out...the Healthy Paws that doesnt pay the veterinarians fees to exine your pet and was recently sued for escalating policy prices ( when youre deemed preexisting youre trapped). I call that insurer UNHEALTHY PAWS! Trust me Ive done my homework and Embrace insurers all of my Lab Service Dogs that I own or train. Calls get answered promptly, rates are fair and dont rise exponentially, staff is friendly and answers are good.

Back to chasing squirrels

Our Labrador mix was unexpectedly diagnosed with a Cancer tumor. Surgery was the best treatment as we headed down the path of finding specialists, big words, and multiple visits to animal hospitals. During my first call to Embrace, Dan calmly walked me through the process and had words of encouragement. I was a person not a number - in today's world, that was nice. I expected to wait weeks or even months to be reimbursed, but was pleasantly surprised it only took 72 hours, and everything according to our policy was covered. The saying "you get what you pay for" can be applied in our situation. I've paid on the policy for months with very healthy dogs and thought that perhaps I was wasting my money. I was wrong. We were blindsided with this diagnosis, but our dog was able to get the very best medical tests, surgeon, and care because it was covered. I am happy to say our dog is cancer free and back to chasing squirrels.

Great, except for exclusion

I have 2 dogs covered by Embrace. Overall, I have found Embrace easy to work with and the coverage most important to me is affordable and comprehensive. My only complaint is a exclusion in the policy on our recent shelter adopt. I took her directly from the shelter to my vet for him to verify health info provided to us . She was scratching and he documented that. Now any claims for “itching” are not covered. Turns out she was filthy and the next stop was the groomer who washed her several times- no scratching anymore but the exclusion stands. So much for being conscientious and rescuing from the shelter.
