Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Embrace has great plans to select from depending on your pets needs. Great Danes can have health issues no matter how well they are cared for. I was able to select a plan that works perfectly for my boy Zeus. I also have the wellness plan which is great!!

Well, where do I even start with this horrendous company? They're worthless. They have deemed "vomiting" as a Pre-existing condition and excluded it for an entire year! Wait, what??!!?? ANYTHING can cause vomiting!!! My vet couldn't believe how ridiculous it was they did that! As far as I know, she's writing an appeal letter. However, thanks to this worthless company, now I can't get Layla tested for IBD! Their adjuster even told me their insurance is "property"! Obviously, they see pets as "property" and NOT family! This company was supposedly started by pet parents. Right, so if it was, then they totally turned greedy and only care about the money! They also now have deemed Layla's pica as a permanent exclusion. Funny, she likes to tear up paper. My vet said that is just her behavior. So, if she accidentally ingests anything, I'm screwed. Worthless company. All "pet insurance" companies are a complete scam. They are more than happy to take your money, but refuse to pay out claims. Too many options and I regret not getting it the day I got Layla. I was overwhelmed and now I'm paying for it. Do yourself a favor and just start an emergency fund. You'll save the stress of battling with this worthless company and you can get your pet the care they need. Sadly, all pet insurance is this way. I can't wait to get rid of this horrible company and if I could, I'd start my own company that actually understands pets are FAMILY and have way less restrictions. Please don't go with Embrace! Read their reviews on BBB! That says everything right there!

Embrace has been good to me. I’ve been with them for 4 years now. Really didn’t use them much the first 3 years but this last year I’ve had to do a few different needed things for my dog and claims processing has been extremely helpful in ensuring I get paid back appropriately and in helping me understand what to send them to make the process as smooth as possible. I also have the $240 wellness insurance and that’s a great add for things like medications or grooming/ shots etc.

Been with Embrace since Cody was 3 months old-now almost 8 yrs. Throughout the years the site has changed, but recently it is A+++. It is easy to navigate and submit claims, check status of numerous features, etc. All my claims have been processed timely unless there was an issue that was dependent upon vet feedback. Having insurance has given me peace of mind for medical care after losing a pet where finances became an issue for continuing care.
