Our dog got a viral skin condition that needed to be removed. Because he has sensitive skin and has contact allergies our vets note itchy paws and such. This condition is completely different and in need of being removed almost 8 months to over a year later, completely unrelated. . No coverage.

Not worth the money or the trouble
My dog passed away suddenly from an undetected cancer. Embrace denied all of our claims as pre-existing conditions, saying that previous illnesses were evidence. This is despite our own vet's comments to the contrary. The claims process took two months as we went back and forth with Embrace digging through every last health record from anywhere she had been seen. This is a company that will work hard to find a denial reason for any large claim.

Paid for the top coverage....$104 per month. Never filed since signing up...just paid. Had my dog develop a hormone problem. Will not cover it because they are saying it's dermatitis. She is on medication for a hormone imbalance...but I can dispute it. They will DENIGH EVERYTHING AND MAKE YOU WORK FOR YOUR PAID COVERAGE!!!! GARBAGE COMPANY! Must be others, perhaps a class action suit is necessary.

Everything is a pre-existing condition
We adopted a dog in February, 2021. Since he was transported from down South with a van full of dogs, he developed kennel cough that needed to be treated shortly after he arrived. He fully recovered from that with antibiotics. That was the start of our issues with Embrace.
He developed another cough, with no close contact with other dogs, several months later. This was determined to be a "pre-existing condition", apparently simply because it was respiratory, and even though the earlier cough had completely cleared up and he had been healthy for months.
Our most recent interaction with Embrace was the topper. He was diagnosed with heartworm, and you guessed it, the claim was rejected as a pre-existing condition, even though I see no connection between respiratory infections that have been cured and newly-diagnosed heartworm, and neither does out vet.
Apparently, everything is now a pre-existing condition in Embrace's eyes. I don't see what the point is in pet insurance if nothing, even things that are seemingly unrelated, aren't covered.
It may make more sense to cancel the policy, save the premiums, and pay out of pocket, since that's what we're doing anyway.

Glad we had our Emma insured with Embrace
We are Embrace customers since 2016 and never needed to file a claim. The last day of October our Emma injured herself and we took her to the vet. She is now recovering and she is doing much better. We file the claim and got the reimbursement right away. I was very impress but the kindness of Carly who asked me first thing first how Emma was doing even before she asked me to send the invoices. We have four pets insured by Embrace.
