Embrace is worth checking out!

Embrace is great...I submitted 6 claims and received answers on all of them in as little as 3 days. I had Embrace when I had 2 pugs on a policy, but they passed and so when I got my Pekinese 6 months later I went back to Embrace because they were so fast to process a claim, kept me informed and just did a great job.

Everything was done smoothly

Boxer puppy got into Sago Palm

My 6 month old Boxer puppy got into Sago Palm. Being new to a tropical climate, I was unaware of the extreme toxicity to canines. Luckily, he pulled through, but at a high monetary cost. I had only paid two months of premiums, but they paid my claim in about a week. Highly recommended!!

Do not purchase this insurance

If you do not purchase the insurance as a puppy, they will find any excuse to call your pet's condition "pre existing" and not cover anything. Submitting claim is easy, but what good is that if they just reject it?!?!

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
