Mainly the wellness coverage was…

Mainly the wellness coverage was useful, but if your pet had any preexisting conditions, it will be used against you for everything else. So if your pet was itchy, consider any other skin issue anywhere else on their body to NOT be covered. Even if is different. For example, if your pet has skin allergies, and they end up with a bump on their foot, you WILL BE DECLINED COVERAGE. They also had a claim open for 5 months and no one followed up on it, until I had to ask. *Please note how their response failed to address this wait time. This prompted me to close my account with them. I’m uncertain why Embrace is requesting for me to contact them any further. I am aware of the policy. They did not make any considerations, or note the possibility of a temporary diagnosis. If you have to wait 6-12 months for coverage, then it is clear that they will not cover your pet. I do NOT recommend Embrace. Please learn from my experience and read other reviews about Embrace that state they will DENY coverage.

It would be very helpful to have more operators available to answer phone lines. I have tried several times to reach an Embracer and e ach time there were 40+ callers in line ahead of me.

In the past I have been pleased with…

In the past I have been pleased with this company. I think the service has changed because I have a one year old healthy dog who has an eye infection. We have not used this policy although we have paid the premium for over a year now. The vet visit was very simple. We sent all the information and yet the clinic has been called twice and when I called the company was told it would take 30 days since the dog has not had prior claims. This sounds like a run around. It’s not a costly bill and three forms, the original and two more from the vet, seems excessive to me. Hope your service will be improved or at least go back to your original service. This isn’t worth the hassle

Bait n Switch

If your dog has ever had tarter in the past noted in their chart or currently has tarter and is seen for a loose tooth requiring pain medication, forget about Embrace reimbursing. They'll use that as an excuse to deny a claim because they consider tarter a pre-existing condition. Which is absurd because just about every dog or cat has tarter, yet, they advertise they cover dental problems to include extractions. This is bait n switch as far as I'm concerned. I've had my little dog Coco insured through Embrace, with a high deductible no less, since adopting her from a hoarding situation with 45 dogs when she was 11 months old, and they've pretty much denied every claim for one reason or another.
