Honest

Embrace has so far lived up to the committment made by its policies. It has paid the majority of our cat's medical bills due to a nasty infection from cat bites which required multiple surgeries and antibiotic care.

English bulldog hit by car

My 1 year old English bulldog was ran over by a car recently. On a leash, in broad daylight. Just a tragic event due to a driver not paying attention. “Luckily”, he lived and he came out of it with some scrapes and a broken leg. Needless to say, the ER visit, the vet the next day, and the surgery a week later, added up to about 10k total. I submitted each claim as I received the invoices, and Embrace was there to help every step of the way. Everything was covered from the X-rays, to the surgery. Not having to worry about money made this (already) stressful event, a little less stressful. I didn’t even need to pick up the phone or send an email. I used the app, took 2 minutes to fill out a very easy to use claim, and had the money in my account a few days later. I was very close to not getting pet insurance, but I am VERY happy I did, and I’m even more happy that I went with Embrace.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
