Great Service

The. claims were reviewed in a timely manner, and thoroughly explained what items were covered and what items were not. When I had a question, the customer service representative was patient and thorough in explaining how I could dispute my claim. I even recommended the service to a friend.

I have used Embrace for the last 11…

I have used Embrace for the last 11 years. They were with me through the life of my sweet Annie girl. Embrace is easy to use and is well worth the price. It priced lower than many other pet insurance companies. I am very satisfied and highly recommend.

I am so pleased with Embrace

I am so pleased with Embrace. My dog has a few pre-existing conditions. The last few times we’ve taken him to the vet, I’ve submitted claims “just in case”, while simultaneously assuming the claims would be denied. I keep getting pleasantly surprised! Though they very clearly (and understandably) do not cover pre-existing conditions, they do approve more than I expected and we always get back at least half of our claim, if not the full amount! I am so happy with Embrace, and my dog (and wallet!) are so grateful for them!

Two sick dogs, one great experience!

Two of our dogs -- Harper and Cutter -- have needed vet care unexpectedly in the past month. The bills piled up quickly, and we were quickly reimbursed by Embrace. We've been with them for nearly nine years and can't imagine raising our pets without their coverage.

Great staff, straightforward reimbursement, clear website

You do need to take the extra step of reimbursing your bills but the Embrace staff are excellent, the document submission is straightforward, and they have reimbursed everything we've requested without hesitation.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
