Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could. They don’t understand rescue pets have guesstimated ages and birthdays and will use that variation against you despite you, the owner, having nothing to do with that. They will take a general piece of documentation, manipulate it to their benefit, and when you submit every piece of evidence in existence to prove yourself, they will still deny you!!! Power hungry, controlling people who don’t give a crap about your pets OR upholding their own policy. Disgusting. We are appealing the hell out of their denial, and being involved in Chicagoland dog rescue (over 5 major rescues), I will make sure everyone in Chicago dog rescues and shelters knows to stay away from Embrace. Wish I could go back in time and go with another company. EDITED in response to Embrace's reply: Given my education and line of work (doctorally prepared APRN with nearly 10 years of ER nursing experience focused on quality, EBP and policy), I completely understand and respect how policy and language within policy works. Embrace has chosen to view ONE TINY LINE of general documentation from an ER vet visit that neither my husband or I were physically at (a friend who was watching our pets brought her in and shared our notes/history with the ER vet who then generalized my text "6.5/7 months old sometime in December" to "6 months old". Despite showing Embrace EVERYTHING we sent over (nonmodifiable writing), they are choosing to weaponize a VERY GENERAL piece of documentation and use it LITERALLY. They are declining seizure coverage because at EXACTLY 6 months old would have been ONE day before our coverage began!! The vet never said EXACTLY AT 6 MONTHS OLD-- but Embrace, in their power, can decide to interpret it this way. Embrace, your explanation of this is very weak and I am incredibly saddened by this whole experience. I have a doctorate, am an advanced practice nurse, and have worked in healthcare and with insurance companies for years. This is a game to insurance companies-- how can I cleverly deny someone the insurance they are entitled to and paying for?? Embrace could have chosen to view that line and correlate it which what history was ACTUALLY relayed, and understand that the vet generalized (as most ERs do). Instead, Embrace chose to use that against us. This is what I am calling BS on! We will definitely appeal, but I want other customers and pet owners to understand the hellish experience we have been going through. This company will do everything in their power to make sure you don't get covered for what you are entitled to.

i decided to purchase...

i decided to purchase a (wellness/illness-accident) plan for my (Bengal) cat who (is an only pet-due to limited finances) That started sometime approx 1/23..then i (only) used the wellness portion around 4/23 and this year. Bc i stated (limited finances) reimbursement time-frame is important to me. Last year the (entire visit w/labs, exam & vaccine was 100% reimbursed) And that occured in about three days. i was anticipating the same reimbursement time-frame this year but (when it wasn't) there on day five i called, which was about the third time i spoke to a Representative. i have to say (besides speaking to a Representative when i got the plan) i liked the straightforward answers i received then and this time. i think Embrace's rates are competitive but i think their Representative's Service e.g (attention to my coverage concerns and reimbursement times) are exceptional. When i called this time (bc it wasn't reimbursed on day five) the Representative stated (the 10 -15 day policy-which really had escaped my notice) But the Representative also stated, 'sometimes it's quicker' (bc i reminded them about three days-last year) So that was reassuring and the next day i received a notice (online) that payment would be forth right. And the very next day it was there on day seven. So that was good and i am happy with the rates (only bc they are competitive) But especially happy with their attention to service!

Seems like you found any reason to make…

Seems like you found any reason to make all my cats history a pre existing condition just so you wouldn’t have to cover anything without asking ME questions or actually calling the vet. Seriously considering canceling. What’s the point? Per your response here’s what I have to say. My cat ate a string and got diarrhea. Took her to the vet. That’s not a pre existing condition. Eat infection. That’s fine I get it. Dental. One vet said she needed a cleaning. Other vet that says she doesn’t need it and gave me prescription for special food. So yea you’re still full of it. Definitely canceling this week.
