ASPCA | Pet Insurance Review

I have used ASPCA pet insurance for my Swissie since he was born and have always been pleased with their service. I have claimed quite a few medical issues including emergency surgery for bloat and stomach torsion and many issues relating to that as well as teeth cleaning, vaccinations, wellness check etc and have always been happy with the customer service and amount of money I have been reimbursed according to the plan. I would recommend ASPCA insurance to any pet owner. The customer service agents are always friendly and have called many times to see how Hance and I are doing after such a scary incident last year.

My 12 1/2 year old rescue Malti Poo was diagnosed with a mammary gland tumor that turned out to be malignant. The surgery was done, a consultation was made with an oncologist and I was very happy that 80% of the cost was paid by my ASPCA insurance. I was also pleased with the speed the claims were processed and the kindest of the service reps who followed up with me to see how Gigi was doing. Highly recommend getting the insurance.

I am grateful to ASPCA insurance because if it weren't for the financial assistance they provided, my beautiful 4 yr old Weim would probably not be here today. He started out with Cushing's disease last summer. The drugs being taken for the treatment of Cushing's pushed him into Addison's disease. About the same time, we discovered that he had an irregularity in his testicles. He needed immediate surgery, and when the biopsy came back, we were told he had malignant testicular cancer. So many things wrong in the same amount of time. If not for the pay outs from the insurance, we would never have been able to afford his treatment. He's now 3 1/2 mos post-op and on a regular treatment for Addison's. He's doing outstanding. I am thankful that I still get to take him on runs and car rides. He's my buddy and he's here, in part, thanks to ASPCA.

I first picked ASPCA for pet insurance because I like that it helps give back to the ASPCA to help other animals in need. They have very good insurance plans, discount for multiple pets, and different tiers to choose from. I think the best thing about them though, is that you can submit claims online on their website, you see real time status of the claim, and my most recent claims were all settled in 2 weeks time! Money direct deposited into my bank account quickly. That is wonderful to know when you are shelling out money for surgery for your pet.

Frisco is now 12 years old, and fortunately hasn't had a lot of medical issues. I spent a fortune on vet bills for my previous pooch, and so I bought ASPCA pet insurance as soon as we adopted Frisco at a year old. I've probably spent more on premiums than I have claimed, BUT that's what insurance is: you buy peace of mind....because you never know what's around the corner. I recently claimed for ongoing skin/allergy issues, including surgery to remove two lesions that were benign, and was impressed how quickly the claim was settled. Overall, claims have been settled claims promptly, the ASPCA Pet Insurance web site makes it easy to submit and track claims, and I've found their customer service to be very responsive.
