overall happy with this insurance

I have had this insurance for my dog harper since he was a pup. at the time they had 3 levels, one for accident, 2 for accident & illness, and 3 accident, illness, and wellness I think. I wasn't sure on the details for 3, as I just wanted accident and illness. I have had to use this insurance for accidents and illness. 2 out of the 4 years I've had my dog. I think in general I am in the red, where the insurance has saved me much money when I figure premiums, deductible vs vet expenses. I am glad that I have it though, because my other dog who just had to go to the ER set me back 2200, and with him I had been saving money each month as a 'just in case'. Well I haven't saved that much... so it was tough. If I had insurance maybe it wouldn't have been that bad. The claim process is easy and the web form is simple to fill out. There can be a bit of a wait to get the results, but for dot fights, sickness (vomitting), and sickness (tick born), the level 2 insurance has helped.

Josie's lumpectomy

My Josie needed to have 2 lumps removed from her shoulder area, she previously had another one removed that turned out to be cancerous. The Vet removed the 2 new ones because of the previous history, the 2 new ones were benign. The first one never returned as she got "good margins " Josie is doing fantastic you would never know she is 11 I am grateful that I had pet insurance to help me cover the cost of her surgeries

the best pet insurance out there

after doing tons of research on practically every pet insurance out there, i find that aspca pet insurance is the most comprehensive pet insurance out there. i found that most pet insurance companies offer only accidents and have a lot of exclusions as far as treatment for certain medical conditions. there is no wellness coverage at all. i found that aspca covers every thing including wellness and their fees per pet are very reasonable. you even get a discount for the number of pets you cover .

Gastritis/Irritible Bowel Disease

Pet insurance is as important as it is for anyone else. Pets can get serious illness that it would be important to be reimbursed for.

Well worth it!

I have insurance for both my 12 year old and 7 year old dogs. I love that routine preventative wellness checks are covered along with illness and injuries. When my older guy had an attack of vestibular syndrome almost all of his day and a half stay was covered. I also like the fact that that the customer service reps will often to call to see if you understand the EOB that is sent. Very helpful. Any loving owner will does their damnedest to ensure the pet's wellbeing and having this sort of insurance takes away some of the financial burden.
