We’ve been bringing our Labrador littermates, Emmy Lou and Willie, to Sunset Canyon Veterinary Clinic for the past six years, and it’s hard to put into words just how much this place means to us. From day one, the entire team has shown nothing but kindness, expertise, and true care—not just for our dogs, but for us as pet parents, too. Every visit has been a positive experience, and we’ve always felt that our pups were in the best hands. One of the biggest milestones we’ve accomplished together with the clinic was helping Emmy Lou and Willie reach a healthy weight. With their guidance, support, and encouragement, we made some big changes to their diet and lifestyle, and the transformation has been incredible. Our dogs are healthier and happier, and we couldn’t have done it without the Sunset Canyon team walking alongside us the whole way. This clinic isn’t just a place we go when something’s wrong—it’s been a true partner in keeping our dogs well, year after year. We’re so thankful to have them in our lives.

What an amazing crew! I felt heard and like they genuinely cared about our new doggo. They were super gentle, gave great advice, and took the time needed with me needed. Service was quick, appointment on time, price solid. Will be back and highly recommend to everyone I know. Thanks y’all!

I can't even begin to tell you how kind Dr. Glen Portie and the entire staff at Sunset Canyon was to us upon the emergency care and passing of our sweet kittie and family member Sallie Taylor. It really brings tears to my eyes with the heart, compassion and expert care they showed up with. BIG TEXAS HEART on display and in full practice here. When my dear friend’s little dachshund was hit by by a horse’s hoof on the head, all local vets were ‘closed for lunch’ direct us to an emergency vet, Sunset Canyon called in a dr from lunch to see her immediately. They took amazing care of her and she is doing great today. Including the emergency fee and x-rays and staples, we were only charged a tad over $200!!! Excellent, efficient, friendly service and fair pricing! I’m moving all my pets (3 dogs and 3 horses) to Sunset Canyon. Thank you!!

I had a cow with an open wound on the side her face. Our usual Vet wouldn’t see her for at least a week, which was useless since she needed urgent attention. Sunset Canyon got her right in, treated her, and sent medication home for followup treatment, even though we were new to them. It is increasingly hard to find a large animal Vet, especially for cattle. Sunset Canyon was courteous and efficient. I would recommend them highly for any animal medical need and urgent care. Dr. Deitz and the rest of the staff was really helpful. THANKS!
