I cannot say enough good things about Dr Moore and the staff at Lone Star Animal Hospital. I learned of them through the Austin Bulldog Rescue organization and brought my dog there as a puppy where they helped me nurse him back to health. Over the past month, my sweet dog ended up getting severely sick to the point that there was nothing we could do and ultimately had to be put down. After an expensive visit to a local emergency clinic and dealing level of stress I had never experienced, Doctor Moore was there to help provide options for treatment. While curing him ended up being impossible, getting a second opinion from Dr Moore gave me 10 more days with my best friend that I would not have had if I had stayed at the emergency vet. Through out the entire experience, Dr Moore had my dog's best interest in mind along with me and my financial situation. This stood in stark contrast to the emergency vet who was basically telling me to spend $25k or let us put him down in the next 24 hours. Dr Moore handled the situation with care, kindness and a level of empathy that is very rarely seen in the business world today. She loves and cares for the animals she treats and she loves and cares for the humans that own them. To the team at LSAH, Teddy loved you all and I appreciate the care and thoughtfulness you treated us with throughout the whole ordeal. Lastly, I want to outline that I am not a person that leaves reviews. Never done it before. Dr Moore and the team treated us so well that I feel the need to go out of my way and advocate for this business.

Dr. Moore explained all aspects of our dogs care to us and was flexible and considerate regarding vaccine schedule. Edgar took great care of Snuggles and Sparky and was very kind to them. Will return!

We have used Lone Star Animal Hospital for years. Our three dogs and menagerie of cats and stray animals we have brought to seek care with Dr. Moore and her crew. We have always left feeling cared for and in good hands. She and her staff go above and beyond to help you make the best decisions for your pets and treats them like family too. If you have any animals that need care run, don’t walk to get here. You’ll be glad you did.

I like to think that I treat my Scotties the way I would like to be treated. The folks at Lone Star see that My Scottish Terriers are comfortable. The Staff at Lone Star provide a consistent experience that ensures Those Dog’s quality of life. Happy and Healthy!

Lone Star Animal Hospital is hands down the best vet clinic I’ve ever been to. Dr. Moore, a Texas A&M Vet School graduate, brings an incredible mix of expertise and compassion. She’s always up to date on the latest veterinary practices, and it shows in the thoughtful care my Golden Retriever receives every visit. The entire team makes the experience seamless. They follow up proactively, respond quickly to emails, and you can tell they truly care about their patients. I live in South Austin and happily make the drive to Dripping Springs, passing plenty of other vets along the way, because I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog’s health.
