Preventive care

We wanted to share an incredible experience with a local family-owned business that truly went above and beyond for us and our dog. Over Founders Day weekend, our black lab suddenly developed severe dizziness and could barely stand. After an initial visit to a 24-hour emergency clinic in South Austin where we were told it might be a vasovagal episode, her condition worsened. Thankfully, we discovered Founders Animal Hospital right behind Fairlane on RR 12—and it made all the difference. Dr. Kabita Deka and her husband, Mason, opened their clinic on a Sunday during the holiday weekend just to see our dog. They were personally caring for patients, and Dr. Deka quickly and accurately diagnosed our dog with a transient form of vertigo. Her expertise and calm, compassionate care were such a relief during a stressful time. We later learned their story—this amazing family lives locally in Dripping Springs and spent three years building their clinic. They’re now growing their practice from the ground up, and it shows in how much they genuinely care. It’s rare to find this level of dedication, kindness, and skill. We are so grateful to have them nearby, especially for emergency situations. If you’re looking for a vet who truly treats your pet like family, we cannot recommend Founders Animal Hospital enough.

I came across Founders due to a last minute search for an after hours emergency vet. Our 8 month kitty was experiencing a high fever and we had no idea what to do. Dr Deka responded immediately and was there to greet me within a few minutes with compassion and a smile. Dr Deka and her team took amazing care of our kitty and did a great job of communicating with me and caring for the little guy. She also focused on treatments that made sense. I never felt like her recommendations were out of line. It took a week for him to get better, but now he is running around the house like a crazy man! I highly recommend Founders, Dr Deka, and her amazing team!

I recently brought my dogs in for their routine checkups and had a great experience. The environment at Founder's Animal Hospital is incredibly clean, modern, and welcoming. From the start, the office staff was highly responsive via email, offered complete cost transparency upfront, and made scheduling and check-in a breeze.Dr. Deka and the vet technician provided a truly thorough exam for both dogs. What I appreciated most was the absolute transparency regarding costs during the visit. Dr. Deka clearly presented our options for their care without being pushy or forcing unnecessary add-on services. It is wonderful to find a practice that balances high-quality veterinary care with fair, honest, and straightforward pricing. It is also incredibly comforting to know that Dr. Deka is available for emergency after-hours care if we ever need it. I am so happy to have found our new veterinarian!

If you are in any mind about a new Veterinarian practice, I cannot recommend Dr. Deka and Founders Animal hospital enough. In May, we had to make a difficult decision, and needed a vet that was close and who would help us without being previous clients. I am so thankful we found Dr. Deka and Founders Animal hospital. I have never encountered a kinder, more emphatic veterinarian. She was with us during a very difficult time; saying goodbye to a family member pet, and there was no finer veterinarian. She was endlessly patient, compassionate and decent in her dealings with us and our elderly dog. She examined our elderly dog, informed us of our choices, and was with us through the whole experience. I am so thankful that my dog's final moments were peaceful, caring and comfortable. Thank you Dr. Deka.

Best vet clinic I’ve ever used. I’m too conditioned to clinics where you always have to leave a message, might get a callback the next day, have to see someone different every time, and pay too much. Dr. Deka and her team are compassionate, professional, VERY knowledgeable and the clinic is reasonably priced. There’s a new BEST vet clinic in Dripping Springs! Founders Animal Hospital. Soooo glad I switched to Founders!
